It MAY have been meant that way, or it may not have. Assumptions make you an ass.

Seriously, what? RPGDemon, do you know how to read? Your illiteracy makes me sad. Or if you CAN read: Putting words into people's mouths to justify attacking them is pretty douchey. Don't be a douche, RPG.

No one was attacking Bob though. I point your literaxy skilzl that I lakc towards Snake's post saying that explicitly.
Y'all should work on your abilities at not taking things as personal attacks that aren't. ;P

I'm pretty sure continually misconstruing his words into 'I feel insulted by being compared to autistics in this article' and then going on to say how he's being insulting to autistic people by saying that is an attack, Demon.
Alternatively: RPG why you gotta attack me like that? It's pretty offensive, guy. Repeat x5, add thirty more words each time.

The more words you add, the more serious your point is. Duh.
Other people disagree the first time you said it? Say it again, with more words. Edit: Fenris, I don't even know how half those images are supposed to be used. In lieu of proper use, I'm gonna post one I like. Double edit: Like, seriously, use that one more.

Reaction Images: Serious business.

If you don't know how to use 'em, then don't. I have very specific circumstances in mind for when to use these images. That one, for example, is after somebody attempts to be all internet-scary and try to e-threaten me. Alternatively, this also works in that situation. Whichever seems more appropriate at the time. The one you posted first is supposed to only come after the slower variant, in a 2-post combination. |

I'd like to apologize to Rob for letting feelings on the issue clutter my interpretation of the intent, motive, and underlying meaning of his post in such a way that fueled my initial response to it. He knows (or at least I hope he knows) that I really think the world of him personally and that I didn't intend my post to come off as an attack against him. Nonetheless, there were ways I could have made the argument generally against societal perceptions without directly dragging Rob into it based on worst-case scenario conjecture of what his words "might have implied."
That being said, I'm not going to be apologize regarding my feelings about societal misinterpretation and stigmatization of autism generally, but I don't think anything that was actually stated, by Rob or anyone preceding me, actually dealt with that issue as I interpreted it. I'm including this not to qualify my apology, as no apology should be ruined by the presence of a qualifier, and my attitude on this matter has no bearing on the faults and flaws of the post as written. Having said that, "Rain Man" style preconceptions of Asperger's and autism does fall under an umbrella of things that I do take very seriously given both my personal background and my friendships with individuals more likely to be conventionally or scientifically defined as 'autistic.' I wish I had worded my post to be less antagonistic and more informational, as I may have then achieved my original objective.

But how is one to know that the response will merit more eye pokery? You run the risk of not being able to post the vastly superior speedy version.
