You're against voting for fighter because he hasn't defended himself. Regardless, the town's motivation seems to not be a deductive policy, but an elimination policy. Your logic is totally in reverse. Even moreso since Figher is every bit as much an unrevealed as Doppler. So if Doppler defends himself from your vote, he's even more guilty? Even though he's in the same boat as Red Fighter, only actually contributing to the game? Your post is non-sensical. |

The Red Fighter bandwagon has been moving way too fast. If we lynch him like this, we learn nothing. He could be a power role, but he won't be able to roleclaim because he's not here. The bandwagon smells like it's scum-driven.
On the other hand, if we accuse someone who is actually here, we'll generate discussion and actually learn something. Doppler actually has a chance to roleclaim. We should try to lynch scum, right? Elimination policy won't work anymore now that the mafia isn't helpless. |

Oh great. Should only take poor Subreci about a year to read through the thousand or so posts we've got in this thread...
And also, I just want to say again that the Red Fighter bandwagon, while townie led it seems, is moving way to fast for someone who's not gonna be here till Friday. It just seems like a scummy tactic to go after people who can't defend themselves. I can understand wanting to draw someone out of lurkage by voting them to make them have to post, but the fact is, Red can't I think. Let's move on to the next person on the inactive list, then on Friday get Red to defend himself if need be. |

I mean, scum-driven? It was driven by supposed 'confirmed' Townies, no? This is the mason groups' plan, apparently. It's moving just as fast as expected. Quote:
Your logic is "If he defends himself we learn something!" which is hardly true, because often times when people defend themselves, even if they're a townie, they give misinformation to try to save their hide (Akamaz anyone?). The town set up this elimination idea for obvious reasons, and even if I think there's some deceit in the mason groups, I've got no chance to steer the lynch out of their plan -- and no solid reason to, either, sadly enough. Hello. Yeah, sorry about that. Circumstances outside my control kept me away for some time. Well, anyway, this time I'll try to stay around. I'm just kind of surprised that I was gone for two and a half weeks and I'm still not dead. I'll go ahead and Vote: Red Fighter. And for the record, yes, I am one of the X-men.

The problem with elimination is that us confirmed townies are dropping like flys without Dr. Strange's influence. It's been, what, 2 nights? And we're down 3 from the masoned groups (1 Fantastic Four and 2 X-Men). Voting just non masoned won't work, we need to vote non masoned and smart, and voting for in actives right now is not the best choice in my opinion. Also, is anyone else getting a wierd kinda feeling that Mesden and Doppler are just trying to tip the vote to get an easy townie kill? For that reason, FOS:Mesden and Doppler12

I suppose it isn't "scum-driven" per se. But you know, "action through inaction" and all that.
The thing is, everyone should have a chance to roleclaim so that we don't waste our lynch for that day. Suppose we're about to lynch someone, and he roleclaims as the doc. The best course of action would be not to lynch them because that forces the mafia to. If the doc is still alive in the morning, then you know the guy was lying. That's when you lynch him. There is virtually no harm from allowing a roleclaim, but it can keep us one step ahead of the game if we do. |
