However, this flashback/forward had a proper transition of "years in the past, yet centuries in the future". Generally the dreambubble sequences have been unceremonious scene cuts, as far as I can recall.

Now, having said that, I'm still saying that I think this is a dreambubble, because now it looks like we have a clear sign that it is one, and not a proper flashback.

It said years in the past because it is for Jake, but it's still centuries in the future for Dirk.I'm pretty sure that's all it was about.
