Well, I finally beat the fucker with Squall. Perhaps he wasn't the best choice, but oh well. Went on to unlock Gabranth and mess around with him for a bit. EX mode Gabranth is fast, has a longass Brave string to kill the other guy's Brave, and breaks reality. How badass is that?

Also, just to confirm... Gabranth outside of his EX mode is just pretty useless, no? All i see is people charging with him untill EX kicks in

If you're using him right, no. Since he doesn't have any HP attacks outside of his EX-burst, he's able to hold on to his Brave a lot easier than everyone else with a wider range of moves with which to do so. Thus, when he gets to a high enough amount of Brave to one-shot his opponent, he can auto-charge his EX-bar and fire at will.

And that's on top of the bonuses mudah mentioned above that he gets by pretty much being capable of spending most of the fight in EX-mode.

That reminds me, my copy of the OST just arrived. The Messenger (a remix of Cosmos, or Chaos' battle theme) works a lot better with a much faster tempo.

It's still a very weird choice for a vocal theme song. And I'm still mad that The Fierce Battle made it into the game, but not Battle Theme.
