You should take a look at the archives by calendar for 8-bit and for someone to have that good of an update schedule while dealing with many things for 9 years is pretty damn good. We all need money and as much as I like the funny along with you, he has to live on something and as you get older you need more so you can sustain yourself better.

Updates might be spuratic, but atleast they are good when done. Again I'd rather have a good comic and ending than one just tacked on which even now can be done simply to put it to bed and move on.

In my honest opinion, HIKYM is the second best of Brian's projects. I still think Atomic Robo is superior, though this is most likely because I've been able to experience more of the Robo story than the HIKYM story, due to the slow update schedule of the latter. I have to agree on the measure that going gradual that HIKYM actually grows on you in a better offering. Because Brian worked on 8-bit and other things he can only get better and for writing the more projects helps you learn. I wish I was able to read more of robo but comic book stores aren't as found commonly as they used to.

All this talk of cake is making me hungry for it, good thing my birthday is on thursday. A cake world might not be that bad.

Still I have a feeling that even with the delays, maybe the ending will be similar to the flashes made? Where they all are on set?

Yes I agree, the main reason Brian doesn't update 8BT as often anymore is so people will give him money so they can read Warbot and HIKYM instead.

At the very least, Sarda re-bound the nexus, (Black Mage gained his class change by unbinding it) though we were never actually told the exact method with which black mage took over hell, merely that it's success was due to the loss of his "fleshy limitations" and that it was maintained via spine removal and fear. So it could go either way when he dies, really

although, now that i think about it, the only person whose class change is really confirmed to be gone is thief, since he stole it from himself and tried a ninja flip (failing miserably). Red Mage wouldn't have been able to cast anything anyway thanks to the Sarda plan, Fighter might just be that dumb or Sarda might have literally stabbed the sword skill out of him with his own blade, and black mage never tried to cast anything.
