By the way, is the discussion our characters have had so far non non-canon? Because it seems like the mission's been... reset.
Of course, even if it didn't, we can just assume that it did, to save us discussing teams again. |

I thought it was all canon. Rachel was just being briefed by the substitute chief who passed on the pokemons as well, telling what info was available, and people discussed it while the other information was filled in by Lola and Shannon who also provided information on behalf of Garus.

Well, it did seem to me that the conversation between Rachel and Shevenston was private. We were all talking about Lola and the grass trainer like it had been said in-character who they were.
Maybe we can just assume that the talking we did took place after Lola's briefing.

Ah, right. Also, I approve of your previous suggestion of PVP battles. I was already planning to have Imact challenge Charlotte to one, just to gain dominance. Renny and Impact can have one as well.
Though really, despite my upgrades, in PvP, trainers still have the advantage. Simply confuse impact, and badly poison him and bam. You've pretty much won. Or you keep spamming instant kill attacks. You only have to be lucky once, Impact has to be lucky constantly. And let's not forget that, should worst come to worst, togekiss can just endeavor the hell out of my little slayer. |

Matthias will be nabbing Castform for his pokeshift. I'll post the appearance change and all that later tonight. Got some theater stuff to do. HUZZAH

In YOUR case, Togekiss would probably just use Air Slash for STAB bonus while flinching you 60% of the time (Flinchlock) until you get knocked out. ^^ EDIT: Ah, I sadly noticed that I need to put two movesets for Shaymin, since it has different moves for different forms. Although I doubt I'll be able to use the second one, since the mission is during the night. Last edited by Menarker; 03-09-2010 at 07:47 PM. |

I'm not giving away my strategy, but I doubt Togekiss would be much of an obstacle to me. If anything, Magnezone and Shaymin would be irritating. Plus, I'm not sure how good umbreon would be.
I'd probably lose against you, but I wouldn't lose horribly. |

Hehe, I'm looking forward to the next update where we get to strap you to one of the self destructing accessories. ^___^
I doubt it would kill you though! I had a Snorlax who used metronome and the random spell landed on Explosion... I was still able to use it afterwards, so I have to assume you'll live. :3 AB: I don't suppose later on, if we get any more upgrades that there can be optional ones based on one's playing style? In my case, I don't plan on switching pokemon around (you could say that Renny doesn't catch pokemon only to leave them in the bin just because they don't fit his fighting style) and due to all sorts of kinship factor maybe boost the ones he does keep or something. Also, I still haven't heard back regarding Mimic. (Had it in a previous post but moved it to a more recent one). Will we be using the Generation 1 rules or the rules after that? First Generation Rule 1 is easier to implement since I just choose a move from the opponent's list, but also more powerful. The other one is strictly to mimic the last action of a pokemon and use that one for as long as mimicing pokemon is out. Isn't exactly as powerful, relies on hoping that a team-mate or enemy pokemon behaves the way I want it to and that sort of thing. Last edited by Menarker; 03-09-2010 at 09:48 PM. |

You mean like "Beat up" (that's the attack where the enemy takes a 10-damage attack from every non-deployed pokemon), only in a good way?
Also, you wrote that Renny's Family's Snorlax finances itself using Pay Day, right? Yeah, if Homnyr's economy is anything like the real-world economy, that would screw it over so hard. It's the equivalent of having a money-printing-press at home. And yeah, Impact has anti-normal armor automatically. I guess I'll just run at the enemy, detonate and then just stand there in a cartoon manner, charred all over with smoke rising from my singed hair. Then Lola heals me. Vigorously. |

I don't know what you mean by Beat-Up... but no, the first edition of Mimic was similar to mindreading a pokemon or scanning genetics or something and BAM, the pokemon knew how to use the attack, even if it's completely different from its type, like Swampert using Overheat. The second edition basically is similar to Red-Mage's Mimic... and we seen how that works out, when you can only mimic the last thing that someone does (even if you can keep using it for a while.)
... and you just had to use "Vigorously". *Sigh* |
