Since you guys are currently discussing that subject, Spitz has a fairly open Move-set. I think Gem previously mentioned making him the designated Thief, but I can probably work Mean Look into his arsenal.

What do you guys think?

Which is odd/funny since Mightyena has access to Scary Face. One would imagine that it is a very small step to go from Scary Face to Mean Look. Ah well.

Well, Pierce has Tyranitar and Metagross who both have access to the move "Block" which is functionally the same as Mean Look. In battles where trainers can send out 2 pokemons (fairly common at the moment), there is that option.

Well, for me, I'm under the impression that Custom Moves for Pokemon should come as one of the rewards for investing in the later levels of Pokemon Trainer/Breeder.

Like not now, but I think Renny, Pierce and perhaps Charlotte should be allowed to make custom moves for their pokemons if they go higher up as trainers/breeders. (When they actually reach that point).

That said, I'm not trying to give them custom moves now (because Renny hasn't reached that point yet), just like how Mollesk despite being a custom pokemon, doesn't have any custom moves of his own yet.

Then again, I dunno about a single pokemon having multiple custom moves like Drac is planning for Enmakki... Maybe at the cost of his other pokemons not having custom ones of their own...

AB: Along the rest of the way for upgrades, will there be rewards that everyone will get regardless of what class they choose, such as extra Relationship Technique or Signature/Combination Techs? Like every 3-4 levels?

Y'see, what I meant by custom moves for my pokemon was actually more along the lines of signature moves. My bad, sorry for the mix-up.

Which is why I was nervous about giving Enmakki a third. I mean, it already gets two! I mean, there are already pokemon that get three signature moves, but they're Cubone, Marowak, Hitmonlee, Vespiquen and Porygon and none of those moves are particularly impressive, except for Vespiquen's I guess, even if Enmakki is a Legendary.

So? I figured that what customs moves would be like. A move usable only by that specfic pokemon (Not even pokemons of the same species) due to the trainer and pokemon working on their particular forte, evaluating what they are good at and how they fight.

In a way, just like how Ash was able to train several of his pokemons to use a custom move based on combining elemental offense and shielding defense. The custom moves he made was the special relationship and training between his pokemons and that specific trainer.

I got no problem with Enmakki's "Custom moves" being unique to only him (since I expect the same for all Custom Moves), but the only thing that bugged me was the number of them. Then again, like I said, if the total number of custom moves among all his pokemons do not exceed the other trainers's total number with the same level of pokemon trainer levels, then I got little problem with it.

I didn't really get that last thing you said, but Pierce won't be taking levels in Pokemon Breeder, probably.

I intended for Enmakki's moves, and Dialga's Time Slip, to be readily available from the get-go. No need for upgrades or shit. See, these aren't "we spent a lot of time together training and having fun and learned a move THROUGH THE POWER OF LOVE" moves; they've always been there.

Well, I didn't mean that they had to be through Power of Love (that's not the point of breeder either). But basically, the training which differs from trainer to trainer. Pierce might teach through hard training, believe in offense or uses of certain tactics, and Renny believe in something else.

Also, I keep bringing up the point that the meaning/purpose of Pokemon Breeders is the trainer's hallmark of having brought out the highest caliber of skill and strength and other such virtues out of their pokemons. While I said that love is ONE way to bring out a pokemon's full potential, it doesn't HAVE to be the Power of Love, although that is the easiest and most respectable way. Charlotte could end up using fear, Matthias (if he became one) could use tactics and experience and logic and reasoning and such. It doesn't matter as long as the trainer is capable of using their experience and skills to bring a pokemon to their utmost potential.

Anyhow, let me clarify on that last point that confused you...

If Impact or Matthias opted to become Pokemon Trainer, I'd doubt AB would allow them to get custom moves at first level. They'd probably have to hit level 4-5ish of Pokemon Trainer or so. Heck, that's why I said we'd need levels of Pokemon Breeders, because I don't know if Custom Moves will only be awarded to Pokemon Trainer/Breeder Level 5 or higher. (I say Pokemon Trainer/Breeder because I don't recall what level AB intended there to be a cut-off point.) Renny/Pierce/Charlotte get to be first in line for custom moves, because they are all level 4 pokemon trainers. However, if Pierce became a Slayer, or Charlotte become a Pokebrid while Renny becomes a Pokemon Breeder, then Renny gets (more/powerful )custom moves and the others either don't get any or they get less/weaker custom moves. If Matthias or Impact or whomever ends up spending enough levels in Pokemon Breeder, they too could get custom moves, but end up getting them later just because they started Pokemon Training at the later point of the RP.

Thus, let's say that Renny REALLY focused on being a Pokemon Breeder (and that it starts at level 5), to the point that he has 7 levels of Pokemon Trainer/Breeder and thus ended up with 6 custom moves, (2 at level 5, 2 at level 6, 2 at level 7 or something like that.) Pierce should not be allowed to have comparable number of custom moves if he doesn't have proportionally the same number of levels in Pokemon Trainer/Breeder. He should only have 2 custom moves to give in any combination to his pokemons at level 5, 2 more in any combination at level 6 and so on and so forth.

This is just an example mind you, but I'm saying that Pierce (or anyone else) should not have equal/more custom moves than anyone he doesn't not have equal or greater levels of pokemon trainers.

Of course, this is mainly conjecture and discussion. AB might have other plans. In fact, he seems to be planning something big, judging from how often I see him looking at Geminex's PM. Must be a huge thing being concocted. :3
