I wish someone had the trade knowledge to tell him that his idea is tragically flawed since the weapons are not likely strong enough to last the worth of how much they cost. And that their cost is not equal to how much the beast they are hunting is worth dead. And also that if the beast could be hurt with silver that silver is a much stronger metal than either copper or gold and thus might actually be worth the cost if only because it can be used to fight other monsters.

But hey whatever.

Months later, the Mandala Hunting Goods Shop closed after the owner finally starved to death. Even in his final moments, he insisted his gold and copper weapons were of the highest quality. Some might argue that he was delirious at the time, but the fact that he believed he could make a business selling overpriced copper and gold weaponry is proof that he was always delirious.

The contents of his shop were sacked and the weaponry melted down to make other, actually useful trinkets.

Should've gone with silver.

EDIT: But hey, Docus has Speech, which includes Trade knowledge.

I know. I was giving you guys a chance to chime in.

I mean, my speech and appraisal checks say this guy is legit. But even if the weapons work 100% exactly as advertised, we're not buying from him unless he sells at 20% value.

To Riin and Mauve: Arden probably won't say much unless directly addressed. I'm not going to make a scene out of anything here unless you guys want to. I'll play ball if either of you want to bring her into some kind of discussion though.
