Enmakki mind control is vaguely disconcerting because it has vague extents and those are the worst extents.

Basically, I'd only really "accept it" if it was an informed ability.

IE: Mentioned in canon, but no effect in practice whatsoever.

But I consider it cheating and I'm not interested in getting a harem that way, so Pierce is going to put a stop to it in the next in-game day.

Except you're still allowing it to influence Jeanette during the first night, who is not your NPC.

Granted, she's already starting to lean toward your way. But all the same, assuming that he actually has those abilities is basically cheating, even if Pierce is morally above it.

The pokeballs are supposed to suppress these influences anyhow. At best, you can say it has those abilities, and it THINKS it's using them, but it fails or something.

Let me see if I got this straight. Since I came up with it Enmakki has been able to fuck with people's dreams at will. It's not mind control because it's not making them fall in love with Pierce right off the bat. Rather, its plan is to manipulate them into that over a long period of time.

Your problem is that I did this to Jeanette, who should have no plausible method of protecting herself from it?

I mean, I think I get where you're coming from, in that it seems like I'm hijacking an NPC that isn't mine. And maybe I should've approached AB about it first.

But, the reason I felt comfortable going through with it is that this is the only time Jeanette is going to have an Enmakki-induced dream about Pierce, and I severely doubt it'll be enough to affect her opinion about him in any significant way.

Further, Enmakki has to be careful with the mindfuckery due to the fact that Marionetta is on the team, as well as Aster and his vague psychic powers, as well as any psychic Pokebrids like Whitney. So any cases of Enmakki fucking with anyone that isn't Pierce are going to be rare or non-existent.

Well, I'd think it's still a bit of hijacking because Jeanette is bound to be having other dreams that are more important to her character like worrying about her kidnapped daughter and other adult fears (assuming she doesn't pull an all-nighter working on Darcelle due to feeling unable to sleep with such emotions). Having Enmakki do that ability on her is kinda overriding something she would sensibly be feeling at this point for something that practically serves no purpose but ego stroking. It kinda cheapens her character by making her thoughts and dreams have less priority than Enmakki's. (Even though AB might not have thought to depict it in the RP through his writing.)

Overall, ask AB right here if he's comfortable with that. I'm not, but I'll leave it up to AB for this "one time event". That said, you can demostrate what it can do with only one person, Liz.

Well yeah, but I can't think of a valid reason why Enmakki wouldn't do it to the both of them.

I mean, if it gave all the bitches hot Pierce dreams at the same time they might talk and figure something weird is going on, but with two the risk is minimal.

I suppose I could always make another female NPC who already has feelings for Pierce and retroactively introduce her.

Only no, that was sarcasm.

But maybe you have a point about it cheapening her character. I mean, I can't see it myself, but I'm a right bastard and that doesn't necessarily mean you're wrong.

Well, it's inside the pokeball. Naturally, its abilities should be suppressed like other pokemons. That's a valid excuse that doesn't require Enmakki to compromise on his intentions.

I mean seriously, mind influencing abilities to people across the city while in the pokeball? I'd say that's kinda overpowered stuff there.

If I was to compare with my Mollesk, he's powerful for sure, but his abilities and characteristics still follow the rules of other pokemons. Enmakki currently isn't, being able to use his abilities in the pokeballs as if they didn't exist.
