I defend him simply because I recall the first game I played, and how lost I was, and how much it sucked when I was killed on day one with each and every mafiate voting for me.

And no, I do not refer to the first game here. First time I played was quite some years ago, it was 2001 at a summer camp being held in Saratoga NY, and the camp was funded by a place in Maryland.

Yes, but what about MoM. He got killed before anything. I'm voting for something DarthMauler said, in this game. Not something someone else said about him. Not because everyone else is doing it. And not because of something that happened in another game.

And, of course, plying for sympathy isn't out of the realms of possibility either.

I didn't ask anyone to vote. I asked, why didn't he vote, even after he was in trouble. He could have pointed at one of his accusers and said, "That's a pretty stupid reason to vote for me." That's part of defending yourself.

Darth can still convince me if he details exactly why he posted that equation and how it came about. I left that in my reasons even. And as for who he could have voted for, how about one of the people who are blindly bandwagoning him? I gave reasons, unlike some others. And how could I be set on a path when I gave him every oppurtunity (and still do) to convince me otherwise?

As for you, CMP, why aren't you responding to my previous statement of "I didn't do this quickly". Because I didn't. Not responding to the accused defenses is really, really scummy.

I posted that equation because I was too lazy/tired to check the first post and I used my calculator to get the percentage. It was very stupid for me.

The reason why I have not told anyone off for voting for me was because it isn't a stupid reason for voting for me. If I was in any of your shoes, I would probally vote for myself too. If it was later in the game I probally wouldn't though, but seeing as we have almost no evidence pointing to anyone yet, I admit that I am the most suspicious.

I still say I am screwed either way.

I'll try to think of other things that defend myself, but right now I am hungry and I'm going to go to the commons and get some lunch.

So far, the clearest way for me to tell whether or not someone is mafia or not is by the lynching votes. The Mafia may be well organized this time and may try to get off two kills with one stone by having all of them vote for the same person, and it seems odd that the first votes were all for the same person, as if in an attempt to sway all the townies on that person to kill off one that is not a mafia person. This seems like a very viable strategy to undertake early in the game when they need to get rid of as many townies as fast as possible, ESPECIALLY if they know Darthmauler is NOT one of the miafiates.
So my vote would go towards one of the people who voted for DarthMauler64, as he is not suspect of being a mafia, but suspect of being a target of the mafia through the lynching process by attempting to throw alot of suspicion onto him. So my vote goes to any of these 3 suspects as they are the first 3 to have voted for Darthmauler 64.

Newb, you are high on my list. Mostly because of the fact that your arguing that IHMN is going to be a bad townie and we lose nothing if he gets voted (off the island) to lynch.

Could you elaborate on this "bad feeling"? How am I suspcious? I only FoS and voted for someone. I gave reasons for why I voted. I then retracted my vote when presented with a reasonable argument.

Also, I'm getting ready to leave for work, which will be a 10 hour shift. So, I won't get a chance to respond til I get back. Here's hoping things don't get out of hand.

I understand that you voted for Darthmauler to move the game along, but I think the forgetting to count yourself thing is a little weak. I know it was all we had to go on but I don't feel it was a very good choice. Plus, I just get a bad feeling about you that I have nothing to go on. This is why I'm not voting for you and just keeping an eye on you.

I also feel that Darthmauler just made a silly mistake like I did in the first game. Our mistakes were different but I think they are similar.

Hmm... I still don't trust DarthMauler. Call it a hunch... the whole thing just feels 'wrong' to me... maybe contrived is the word.

There's also something about CallMePrismatic that's bugging me... though I can't quite put my finger on it.

But then, on the other side, I can't say I have full faith in The_Wandering_God either... all things considered.

I'm so confused!



So, regardless of the starting reason, I really don't feel I can back down.
