Ok, so about 71 hours ago I FOSed IHMN (just in time to get ninja'd by both Mesden and Nikose. At that point I figured I'd just FOS and wait around to see if IHMN might say something to change my mind or maybe a better candidate for lynching would come up.

Since then, he's gotten himself 5 lynch votes and has made only one post --

You could have been spouting nonsense to avoid saying anything that would directly give you away. Since that failed you may be staying silent now for the same reason.

In three days of posting I haven't seen any better candidates for a Day 1 lynch and IHMN has offered no substantial defense to any of the people who think he smells wrong. So here goes --

What exactly would I try and defend myself from? The only arguements against me that I can tell is "He did something stupid." Not much to defend against that, besides pointing out that it as indeed a joke.

I'm back early! Well, kinda. I can't believe someone voted me for the vote for Mes. It wasn't a joke actually! If it was a joke it would have been funny. If it made you laugh that is jim dandy too! I was just voting for Mes because I know she isn't stupid enough to get herself lynched the first day and I didn't want to be accidentally apart of a lynching when away.

As far as I can tell people are either going for Nikose or IHMN and I don't think either of them are scummy. IHMN maybe, but that is how he always is. So, I hold my vote for now.

Well first of all playing the fool to seem innocuous is a tactic centuries old, so it's not exactly a minor accusation. But it's not so much that you did something stupid as what stupid thing you did. Mesden, Marius Twiglight and I all kinda sniffed a scent of SK about you because of what you said.

Now it could be that you really hoped to achieve something or (more probably) to divert suspicion from yourself (because now you could say "No way, fellas. If I were the SK would I be stupid enough to say something like that?")

Of course, you could substitute any other kind of scum for "SK" in that sentence, so overall I still smell something rotten.

And from where I'm sitting it's just piling up. After people started suspecting you I think you must have realized that your gambit wasn't working. So you went into semi-lurk, making only one halfhearted defense that wasn't a defense and then disappearing until I called your name.
