He only manages to hold his own because we never try to out-and-out destroy him. Instead, we usually inflict humiliating defeats on him, while he godmodes extensively.

We did have a villain at one point, called Bob, but I think he was just a creation of Jadarendir.

Calvin is the protagonist of the popular comic strip "Calvin and Hobbes", a young human boy.

Calvinball is a game he plays with Hobbes, in which the only rule is that there ARE no rules. Essentially, the Calvinball here is a ball that duplicates that effect, having an infinite power to shape and mold the universe.

Calvin and Hobbs was a daily cartoon posted in newspapers. Calvin is a young boy who likes to play with his stuffed tiger named Hobbs. Hobbs comes to life in calvins imagination and they play together. their favorite game is calvinball which is a game with olny one rule, the rules always change.

Yup, that explains it pretty well...but I always thought Hobbes really came to life? I mean, in some episodes he does some pretty inexplicable things for a stuffed toy.
