I give it a 'meh'. Death hasn't seemed to matter in Homestuck for some time, there are already plenty of nails in that coffin.

There are caveats, though. The Quest Beds and kissing only work if you have a Dreamself left, and only for a certain window of time after death. The crypt is a little easier to use, but if you don't have a dreamself, there's a really short window of opportunity. The Ring is a singular legendary item that John might have on him.

And both of those methods require one to be a player of the game. It hasn't been explained, but I'm wondering if Jane's power could work on anyone dead, including people like Dad, who aren't players.

To be fair we still don't know if part of the requirement for God Tier via Crypt is to die in a moon-shattering explosion.

I thought Aradia was burned to death. Granted, Derse's moon got moonshattered shortly thereafter. Heck, maybe the requirement is to be burned by green-sun-fire.
