I'm Townie, don't worry.

It'd be a horrible serial killer-ish role for me to have only the ability to investigate someone instead of killing them. Lynching everyone until you're the last person? That's just insane.

And being a killing role that you couldn't see would even be more insane.

I'm not in the Mafia either. It's a secret role, and it's pretty much revealed to them what I was if I didn't show up on the list either, would I?

As for secret votes - it's possible. Absentee ballots. You wouldn't even know if it was me; you'd just assume that someone on the list could have voted without you knowing.

Because you guys voted for me, my existence (and thus my role) was revealed. And so, I can roleclaim it. It's pretty simple, don't you think?

Ecurt I don't think anyone is disputing the fact that you are the #36 person and that you had some sort of spy-ish role. The thing that we're generally worried about is that it is your role-claim that we have to take your word on as far as the abilities and which side your on goes. We can't tell whether or not what you say is true or you are some sort of invisible serial killer OR an invisible cult leader. The last two you would obviously be pulling out the fake roleclaim to save yourself from being lynched so early if you are scum. At the same time though we can't prove either that you are town-aligned or some sort of scum. I'm not entirely convinced just yet until you at least address those points besides calling them "insane".

The thing is, Ecurt, we don't know for certain that you can investigate at all. And there is such as a thing as Mafia Cops, and in fact Roy had that role right here in my game on TGC.

I don't actually think you're mafia at the moment, but I don't think you're any more likely to be town than anyone else. Of course, I'd rather not keep my vote on someone I'm not suspicious of, so Unvote.

Uhh yeah there definitely is but I believe a few people already beat me to this punch. If he is scum there definitely is a reason to come forth and try to put up a fake front to explain himself so we don't kill off his scum role so quickly. I'm not saying this is the case but I definitely think it's a logical possibility.

Edit: I do believe we've already gone over the fact that he could very well be telling the truth as well. What are you arguing? That there is no way in hell he could possibly be scum because he is roleclaiming? That seems a bit naive to believe anyone whenever they make a roleclaim.

Even then, it's still three votes. If it were a bit closer, then it probably would make sense, but in this case, probably not.
