I am fully aware the scum claiming P.O. is basically retarted. Which is why I would never have claimed it if I weren't actually the P.O.? Again my point, what is the harm in letting me live one night, and letting me investigate someone. Maybe that someone is you, and I turn up vanilla and a name, then state that name in the thread. If that name is yours, then I am clearly the P.O. If you lynch me and I am the P.O, then you are stuck on Day 1 again down a police officer. If you let me live and its clear I am not the P.O., then day 1 is really day 1 and day 2 is day 2.

Or you're just making up a name and trying to bring out the person into roleclaiming. 1 night doesn't mean much by itself, unless the mafia does something stupid.

The thing is Ecurt would have no real reason to come out and lie suddenly like that if he were scum. His roleclaim doesn't make much sense to have as broken PO in the game, however it doesn't make much sense they would have any information either.

If we look at it from the other side though, how likely is it that someone would have a role who started with information on who the Mafia don was at the beginning of Day 1 (remember there was no Night 0, so Ecurt never had to make a choice either)?

Just some things to consider while we try to find out the truth behind this whole matter.

I think moogle has a very good point. It seems like a ridiculous game if the GM gives away the don before that game even starts.

To be honest, I considered SC's plan. After all, there's a very good chance I might be wrong about this, since it does seem strange that I would know who the mafia don was on the first day, even if it is loki handing out roles. However that plan wouldn't be the way of testing the validity of my claim.

For one thing, you can find the cast on the Internet, and we've already figured out one way loki has decided on names. Sheer luck alone would let SC pick a valid one. There's also the fact that, if he is mafia, then he would easily have four other people to back up his claim by taking on the name he gave out - which gives them both an alibi, especially if nobody else steps up.

Thus, I just don't trust it. That argument's not enough to sway my vote away from him - quite the opposite, really.

Huh? What is "taking on the name" supposed to mean?

The reason I ask is because I think you may be suggesting that SC's hypothetical mafia buddies are not bussing him right now. Which is unlikely, given that any mafiate in their right mind would be bussing the hell out of SC right now. And definitely would not be supporting him.

Edit: Unless, of course, they saw me saying that and blah Wifom blah blah Wifom.
