Yes, there are five levels of the base classes and five levels of the "Ascended" classes as you called 'em. Good name for 'em.
Yes, you'll get more relationship-based Love Techniques. I'll allow for a unique move for Mollesk, and you can choose that now. If you wanna request more, ascend to the Breeder class. Instant Death Snagballs will be helpful if the whole purpose of the Snag is just to get rid of the enemy Pokemon. Kinda of a meh-ish "Either I get it or it dies. Either way, it's a goddamned nuisance and I'm glad to see it gone," kind of thing. EDIT: And I forgot something else. Ruin Pokemon are going to have some major changes made to them. Most will become dual classes. I'll also create move pools and flesh out their original moves. |

Also, I kinda find Pool Moves to be... questionable or unsatisfying to be honest. We already have tons of moves to try to squeeze in 4/6 move slots, which is further reduced by us creating custom moves specifically to take up one of those slots. More moves hardly seem useful to a class which is already struggling with a glut of moves and only a few slots to put them in.
It could be pretty useful for some people, but I imagine that Custom Moves already fill the sort of purpose of diversity. EDIT: Also, you were the one who came up with Ascended, some time back. Thank you for allowing a custom move for Mollesk. ^^ Here it is. Mollesk: Tentacle Leech (Bug Physical Attack Move. Makes Contact) Power 120. 100% Base Accuracy. The tentacles that Mollesk possess powerful leeching properties that absorb nutrient merely by forceful contact. It can even absorb nutrients from minerals and metal entities due to the powerful digestive acid it employs. Speaking of acid, the constant exposure to powerful digestive acid inside its shell creates a coating that hamper's the structure of living and inorganic things upon contact, thus removing foreign benefical traces from the target. Frisky Tentacles are embaressing! Drain half of all damage dealt to a single target as health and removes positive buffs from the target in a manner similar to a one target Haze. EDIT: Could I opt for a simple all around stat increase in lieu of custom evolution if I wanted to for Breeder? If a pokemon only has one ability naturally, does that mean we can choose an ability for them so long as it is thematically appropriate? *Had a crazy thought of Breeder pokemons having two abilities* Last edited by Menarker; 06-27-2010 at 12:40 AM. |

I was thinking more of stat increases for the moves more than the Pokemon themselves and then leaving stat increases to Xth-Stage Pokemon, like Mollesk, Pokeweapons, and any other homebrew Pokemon evolution we collectively dream up.
I'll post tonight. I have duty tomorrow which should give me some time to work on all this crap I keep coming up with. So many things to iron out, so little time. |

What about Dialga's Time Slip? I remember I proposed something, then you said you made your own version of Time Slip but all you said about it was that it halved enemy Paradigm Shifts without affecting allies. There was more, I hope, but you didn't say it. Quote:

Dialga already has a Signature move, Roar of Time. That's probably what AB was thinking of when he said you had to work for your other custom moves.
Mollesk was always meant to be difficult to knock out the standard way. He's still weak to status moves, Curse, Super Fang and such as he always have been. AB: I was just asking because I don't plan on giving extra custom evolutions to anyone on my team. It's easier to visualize and they are pretty damn cute/charming and such (and Mollesk isn't much different than Shuckle aside from being bigger, and a bit rougher looking around the shell.) But I can imagine Pierce or Charlotte wanting new evolutions and I don't want to take that away from them. That's why I was wondering if Renny's pokemon could get a power boost that would be roughly equal to what their pokemons would get during evolutions as a substitute. Mind you, that's assuming that that part gets finalized. Last edited by Menarker; 06-27-2010 at 01:15 AM. |

And we have neglected the most important question. What're demons going to get that outweighs all the shiny new custom moves trainers and breeders are getting? |

And I remind you that its prevolution had stats much like that in the first place. Shuckle was never meant to be "balanced" in the same way as the other pokemons. It was built as an exercise of throwing always all of a few stats to boost a few other skyhigh. For that matter, bug pokemons are known for their oddities. Shedninja only has 1 hitpoint ALWAYS. Other pokemons have lost points in some stats to raise others (Scizor loses speed to gain attack). Bug pokemons tend to have those weird stuff.
But I am curious to know what Demons are going to get too. (Even though it's likely that I won't be partaking in it maybe.) |

Has AB ever made us miss with anything yet even with moves like Thunder? It's the main reason why I had Magnezone used Thunderbolt for the last few missions instead of Thunder, but I found that we had never had an occurance of us really missing yet...
100 Power with 85% accuracy? |
