My hair is really long of late, but I unfortunately might have to get it cut soon, so I thought I'd show it off a bit before then.

Caught a picture of a rather large bird sitting on my balcony rail.

Sadly, it flew off before I could get a picture that didn't have the wire screen in the way.

For scale, the distance between the bars is about three to four inches.

Could be a Cooper's or Sharp-shinned Hawk. I have a hawk that looks a lot like that one around my apartment complex that feasts on the pigeons living underneath the buildings' awnings

This was taken by CBS news at the Jets sendoff today. I'm the circled figure.

My mom apparently saw me on ABC during the live broadcast and called to tell me. I managed to get into a bunch of photos taken by newspapers and video remotes for four or five different tv stations. We'll see if I actually made it into the final cut.

... and the whole Klingon hairdo-sans-dead-lobster-on-your-forehead kinda makes it look weird as well.
