I don't think we should lynch Doc Ock I mean he proved he was a jailor and last time we had a game with an escape artist the escape artist was mafia so I could see the scum trying to get a quick lynch on doc ock.

The thing about that is that he role-claimed with only one vote on him. That could mean, as Sheb suggested, that he's a mafia jailer or something like it, or he has some other scum role and just requested LHN jail him on the basis it was "completely insane", which is what I think happened.

In either example, there's still something wrong about his early role-claim. There was no point to it, which makes me think that it's hiding something.

Sure I think he shouldn't have roleclaimed but this doesn't really make him seem like mafia to me since mafia would probably try not to do suspicious stuff. And he was obviously in jail so saying that he asked the GM to be jailed if wasn't he jailor doesn't make much sense. Also whats with the no pressure roleclaim from October?

I'm not sure why October roleclaimed either, truth be told. He wasn't even being voted for...

I do accept your point on the fact that a mafiate would be trying to lay low rather than do something so overtly suspicious, but the fact of the matter is right now we don't have much else to go on right now. I think it's an acceptable risk to take given that it's only day one and we can afford to make a mistake now rather than later in the game.
