This is an interesting theory. I'm not sure what the mentalist would stand to gain by inhabited 42 however. Every time the mentalist possesses someone it is at direct risk to himself. 42 had a lot of votes cast against him last round so it was quite likely there would be more against him this round. He would be at risk of being lynched without the mentalist controlling him. As the mentalist wants to kill everyone but himself why wouldn't he occupy someone who hasn't had a lot of heat against them and try to incriminate them?

Actually, I'm more inclined to think that if he WAS possessed, it was yesterday, and that it wasn't so much a subscription error as him and the mentalist never being on at the same time.

Why does this entire mentalist theory reek of a scummy plot? Is it only me?

Actually, its very likely that the mentalist chose 42 BECAUSE of the number of votes on him yesterday. He could have thought that this way, he's more guaranteed to get rid of a player by making him look more suspicious. If you think about it, it has worked. Votes piled up on 42 as he kept making himself look worse and worse by not being able to vote.

How does that work exactly. Unless the mentalist himself dies, it doesn't matter in the slightest who he kills. The power of the mentalist is that he can use the controlled player as well as himself to tip the vote away from him, in order to further his cause.
Getting the person he is controlling killed doesn't help him in the slightest. This is obviously an attempt to prevent us from lynching him, and it seems quite a few are in it. I'm going to have to Vote: 42 Petunias, unless someone can convince me that I have made a mistake somewhere in my reasoning.

Secret, look at the votes that piled up on 42. A good bit of them piled on him BECAUSE he didn't vote, which coincidentally was because the mentalist wasn't allowing him to vote. Then it makes him look even more suspicious when he does finally vote after that big deal is made about him not voting. Again this is all assuming he's being controlled by the mentalist. This also gives us a chance to see if the mentalist kills the people he controls after he's done with them. But we won't find that out if we lynch 42. And this isn't like the Doppleganger from KP's horror mafia because he isn't being possessed in that manner. The mentalist is among us somewhere, but the mentalist is definetly NOT 42.

Okay, so, this post sets off all sorts of warning signals in my head. If 42 is anything other than the mentalist or a townie mason, I say we go after B_Real tomorrow, because I think that one of them has the other under their control or somehow otherwise deeply caring whether the other gets lynched.
