Also God help me I'm sick to death of them yanking Galactus out every time they need someone to get chumped so someone else can look badass. If we're going to go nuts and throw in the actual damn Cosmic-level beings then sure, but then you have to toss in like the Spectre and the Endless and the actual properly empowered New Gods and crap.

I do tend to think that Marvel's cosmics would ultimately win as that Marvel does tend to have a whole lot more of them and they tend to be much more willing to let them bump right up against that level just before "actual big-G God himself".

Like on the DC end you have the Source which is like, there and all-encompassing and shit but never really shown to act in any specified direction, and then various lesser servants of that which are really never shown as having anything like the powers of the full entity itself. Whereas with Marvel you have The One Who Is Above All but right beneath him you have like, the Living damn Tribunal who is actually empowered with every amount of The One's power and entirely willing to do whatever the fuck he pleases (with the certainty that he's you know, the living embodiment of cosmic justice so basically if he pleases it then it's the right thing to do).

Also, if Jean came out of retirement of being queen, I'm pretty sure the Phoenix Force would be happy to lend her its power again, because I think it was again towards the end of her temporal existence, wasn't it? That's pretty cosmic right there, considering that it represents the full power of every mind in the universe. I mean, we're talking about something so powerful that when it wants more power, it goes straight to snacking on stars like they didn't support all of life or something.

"Just before" nothin. Living Tribunal effectively IS God. Granted, he's only one facet of said being, but he's still got all the power to the extent that the Infinity Gauntlet is below him on the totem pole.

Edit: I forgot; Marvel has Squirrel Girl, so DC is pretty much fucked no matter what they pull out.

The Eternals are the New Gods of Marvel, and not only are there a lot more of them, they're also invincible as far as Earth ones go. They have been completely disintegrated down to the atoms and reformed. In addition, most of them have powerful psychic or reality shaping abilities beyond that of say, Darkseid level.

And honestly, the Celestials outclass the Endless. An evolved cosmic cube that could destroy or create universes said one Celestial was magnitudes of power above its own, and the Endless are tied to the universe.
