*gasp*
Celes I am totally offended by your portrayl of men. It's not enough that I have to play video games in which bearchested men run around and ... You're right. That's not funny at all. Your drawing however is great, and I implore you to draw on of Link or Ed without a shirt. Because, you know you waaaaaaaaaaaaana! ^^

Tweebus, the colors in that picture are beautiful. I love watercolors, especially when they are done well. I never can do watercolors well. And Carnivore, cool picture, awesome looking spider.

CJ: Mmmm...bare chested bishou...
Carnivore: Looks very professional. A little bit more completion and I could see it in a Monster Manual. Tweebus: *gasp* That is beautiful. Today I realized I hadn't really drawn anything in a while, much less anything with detail/scenery/stuff other than a random portrait. After a couple of god-awful attempts that ended up in several crumpled papers in my trash bin, I took the only good sketch and added to it, inked, and colored using some colored pencils I have unfairly neglected. No, there's no enviromental meaning or any other messages with it. :p |

Oh, of course not! How could anyone see any sort of message about the enviroment in that?
Very nice. I might suggest a little more layers of pencil crayon, but otherwise nice.

New artwork! (sorry it's kind of really big)
Completely in the front angle. (sorry it's chipped a bit) This was done on ceder wood, I believe, with sandblasting techniques. It was very easy to do. But gave me many splinters. EDIT: here's the procedure, just because I'm bored. heh (and to prove how simple it was) 1. Get a piece of wood (ceder or redwood, something you can cut into easily and has nice lines in the wood) 2. Sand it 3. Paint it with some white paint stuff to prepae it to be painted more 4. Paint it with whatever color the letters are (took a long time to get the exact right look) 6. cover with a sheet of this thick rubber material, and put hte design onto the rubber (I used a pencil to make the design/words backwords on a piece of paper, and then I rubbed really hard on the other side, pressing the side with the pencil to the rubber, and it transfers over, like so) 7. Cut out pieces that will not stay the color I painted earlier (background) (longest part of the procedure) 8. get it sandblasted 9. the part that wasn't covered is now eaten away by the sand, leaving some beautiful wood lines, and leaving the border and the letters raised 10. spray paint the background (took me forever because the spray bottles kept not working, and I had to keep going out in the rain to spray. (can't spray in the building) 11. Peel away the rest of the rubber, revieling the blue paint I had painted earlier, and it is done! heh (there that helped with my boredom some)

It's a simple but nice piece. I think it was worth the splinters *rushes to tend to her*
EDIT: Heh, yes, it does seem simple. May I commission something? Last edited by Dante; 06-15-2005 at 11:15 AM. |
