You'd think he'd have poured all his scientific knowledge into making a BOAT out of coconuts. Or at least finding a decent way to use them to patch up the wreck they came in on.

That said, I hand it to Gilligan's crew, simply because THEIR story actually makes SENSE. Also because they were sitting on an old Japanese military bunker. And they also had a nuke at one point. Plus, the lot of them were so madcap that I don't think bullets could even touch them.

Also because FUCK Lost. A polar bear has NO place on a tropical island, and you'd think however many seasons would have been enough to actually notice a freaky science lab a bit sooner and ARGH! *Blue shoots Lost many, many times! Lost keeps running!* JUST DIE ALREADY!

When measuring the overall combat effectiveness of Space Marines, it's important to remember that the same setting provides a bunch of dudes with laser rifles as the mainline unit of a competing army.

I mean sure they've got a lot more dudes with rifles than genetically engineered supermen in an equivalent force, but still, you can take a Space Marine down by rounding up enough dudes with flashlights, which should put this unstoppable super soldier talk into perspective.

Yeah, but you pretty much have to use the Zap Brannigan strategy of throwing wave after wave of your men into the meat grinder until it finally works. Note that the Imperium would probably do just that.

It's basically playing the odds. Sooner or later, enough of your guys will roll natural 20s to get something done.

How about the current Heroes formation (and powers) vs the Original Justice League formation

So, we have...

Superman, Batman, Flash (barry), Green Lantern, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter and Wonder Woman

Up Against:

Peter, Mohinder, Matt, Ando, Claire, Tracy and Nathan (Hiro is out because he is currently Powerless)

The setting would be current New York
