My mom and stepdad are planning a move to South Dakota for their retirement and asked me to help clean out their current house (the one I pretty much grew up in). While we were cleaning, my stepdad told me that he had "a few comics" in the basement that he didn't want to bring out to the new place and was wondering if I wanted them. I said "sure", so he went down to the basement and brought up a box...then another box...then another...
 There's around 400 comics there, all from the late 60s, in various conditions. Including these two gems that he didn't even realize he had.  I bought the boxes, frames, boards and bags this week and protected everything since they've all been sitting in a cardboard box in a damp basement for a decade. Luckily they survived Sandy. No idea what any of it is worth, but this feels like something I'll end up passing down to my children...if I have any. And considering the size of my comic collection now, that possibility is becoming more and more unlikely.
