...So, i was the only one who liked Advent Children?
I mean, you guys followed the news right? Blown over budget, technical grounbreaking problems, quality standards, deadlines... square really pushed to put this thing out there, and they never lied saying it wasnt fanservice. But c'mon, they were trying to branch out since back when Spirit's within was being made... that turned out as a bad fluke, the next one simply -had- to please the fanbase it's not that much different from when Resident Evil gave birth to Devil May Cry. If you think about it... Square was trying to expand to new games and franchises but they never leap, they loop. FF gives birth to a new small product, similar to Final Fantasy but with unique stuff, that products goes well, and it's cycle back into a new better franchise of it's own and it's strong points are then foward to the next Big Final Fantasy. I mean, that's the whole history-tree that follows FF11 - Kingdon hearts - FF12 - the rest of the Kingdon Hearts series - Advent Children -> all looping back into Fabula Nova (which are 3 games, a portable strategy, an Action and a classic RPG title) and Dissidia (Fanservice Brawler), which will clearly tell square what their fandom wants, and where will they put their money next... Sure, there is some milking going on (hey, if i worked in Squeenix and saw that comotion over the FF7 Tech demo i too would be saying "you know... we need to work on top of this" ), but it's not just that... i keep saying, Squeenix is not a Indie company, these are the big boys, and they know how to play... Hell, did you see the sales of Dissidia? I wouldnt be surprised if Squeenix made their next movie on top of that idea... milking it. Sure. But that milk is worth a loooot of shinny coins. I liked AC, and i really hope complete provides a better, more solid, movie... probably worth a buy if you want the FF13 demo AND if the new scenes mean something to the whole experience. |

I mean, I bought the movies (Spirits Within and Advent Children), and now I'm expect to buy it again I actually got half finished product to their standards for a full price. If people are willing to do that, then, there's market for buying twice the same product and Square is totally in their right to milk people out of their money. Other wise, just let them invest and get little to no profit. By the way, I liked Advent Children and Spirits Within.

Actually im not sure about this one, but watchin that trailer on HD a couple of times... i dont think square just added a few scenes, it's not just "the director's cut"... it's more like a version 2.0.
I dunno... but the faces and animations seem to be better (More expressive eyes and faces) aside from the extra particles and details (Cloud's got a cut in his face i dont think that was in the original... actually, in the original, by the end when Kadaj shoots cloud on the back i dont recall any visible damage, not even on the clothing...) Im starting to think they actually improved a few bits on the whole movie (graphic wise...) |

It's a remake of the original movie. One would think remakes are for films decades old, but this is Square we're talking about.
What I find sad is that most people I've talked about are not even interested in the movie, but are buying it for the FFXIII demo. |

Regulus, your anguish is delicious to me, like the tears of a child who just learned Santa isn't real.
But no this whole thing is great. You know what most companies do when people pay them for a product and then they give those people half of a product? They do this thing called a recall, where they take back the half-products and replace them with the thing their customers paid money for. Not Squaresoft!

It's just that I'm actually interested in the movie -what I saw in the trailer was, although retarded, retardedly awesome. I wish I could watch this film, but as a consumer I need to place my vote in this situation, regardless of how meaningless it may be in the grand scheme of business. Besides, the money I spend to buy this is money I could spend on other shit. Like Dissidia! ...goddammit Square. |

LIES HAVE TAKEN PLACE THIS DAY. D:
If there is no santa who gave me my copy of Advent Children? D: Also: Why is there such focus on Final Fantasy 7? I've never understood it at all. |

It was the first 3D Final Fantasy and thus got a lot of the focus from fans. It was also the first Final Fantasy a lot of people played. So it has the most fanboys, and thus a good source of money for Squeenix.
