It hasn't broken $3.00 for that yet, at least here. Man, I thought we had it rough.

I'm still at the $2.75 mark here. But I do remember when it was 2.20 not even 2-3 months ago. And its getting alot harder to con my parents into filling up my car for me. Apperently, their avoiding driving my car now under all circumstances. They used to offer to fill up my car, now they don't even do THAT.
Yes...I'm a tad bit spoiled.

It's pushing $3.40 in portland. It takes me more than $50 to fill up my tank. Needless to say, I ride the gauge on 'E' until the last possible minute... which will probably be tommorow morning cuase I got a 1/2 hour drive to school.

Currently it's about $3.01 where I live.
Now I know last night I saw a commercial where it said something about congress and gas prices... *searches* Oh by the way, appearantly Bush is going to set regulations on gas emissions for cars by the time he leaves office. Or some crap. Alledgely. Given his history on environment I'm not all to excited. |

I can't really walk or bike where I live - The college campus is too far away and work is even further. I'd like to be able to do so, but it just isn't in me to bike for nearly an hour back and forth from college for over an hour.
EDUT: Also, one of those chain letters keeps going around about the oil companies losing money if people don't buy gas on the 15th. Can anyone confirm?

A single day when nobody buys gas wouldn't cause a profit loss. Why? Because they make billions already. Seriously now..one day is nothing.

This is why I want a Civic hybrid. At 49/51, I would have to fill up every 700+ miles!

That's it. We've been patient, but now it's time to storm the White House and kill everyone inside. Then we need to start kissing some serious Middle East ass. I don't care what they would want from us, but we need to do it to start getting gas for lower prices.
Either that our we storm the oil companies which to be fair would include storming the White House, and kill everyone in charge. Then we get our hands on the patent for the Electric Car and we start mass producing them.
