I love Sonic 2. I play that game on a weekly basis. Beyond that and Sonic and Knuckles the only sonic game I ever consistently play is Sonic Rush or Rush Adventure when I'm on portable. Or that sonic GBA game. Or Sonic Adventure. >.>

you know what i hate? the way that sonic's world is BUILT in a way that sonic CAN go really fast...

really.. who builds a concrete loop in the middle of the ocean?

If they figure out that the Sonic Game for the Saturn was the best Sonic 3D game they had and make more in that vein, I'll try it out. As long as they think that Sonic Adventure and it's ilk were the crowning achievement of Sonic, I'm ignoring it.

Edit: Oh, but you have no problem with the massive green pipes that serve no purpose other than teleporting people in Mario?

Realism should NOT be expected from video games. Any time a developer panders to realism to sacrifice gameplay, the industry dies a little inside.

Sonic Adventure was an acceptable game. Everything that came after that wasn't Sonic Rush was/is pretty much the bean-filled epitome of shit to me.

Sonic 2 was best. Am I the only one who hates Knuckles? Guy was a douche always and forever. His only saving grace was his gliding.

I'm gonna disagree and say that Sonic 3 & Knuckles was the best, as Apocalypse Zone was awesome, as was being able to have Mike actually help as Tails. That, and it generally had some awesome level design that let you go fast and go through a level a bunch of ways.

Also, I still haven't beaten Sonic 2. Damn giant egg robot...

Sonic 3 & Knuckles was definitely good. I tend to prefer Sonic 2 though. Especially for the way Super Sonic was animated in it.
