Well, at least he had the honour of putting the parts together again. i.e. the chewing gum and prayers.

Best part of the entire comic was "Foreword by Steve Allen", because I actually know who that is.

"modus Transporti"...
I assume that it is supposed to be latin, correct endings. -us, nominative singular (Subject). -i, genitive singular (possesive, e.g. viri, of the man or the man's). Although, Transpotus is not latin, modus is. But it might be a common phrase, I don't know... Great comic anyway.

I do have to wonder where they're going next. I know the game guides I've read recommend you do the whole Bahamut/Castle of Ordeal/class change thing next, but the comic doesn't always follow game order. I WOULD like to see Brian's version of Bahamut, though. |

Best line, IMO:
:bmage: There is something about this "new" airship that fills me with equal parts dread and rage. Classic! Also: "It seems absolute power isn't quite enough to find a willing publisher." Nuklear Age reference, perhaps? (Since I seem to recall Brian having some trouble in that respect)

Thanks to my parents and PBS, I was a Steve Allen fan years before the Simpsons. Needless to say I was always fond of their digs at his, shall we say, prolific career.

You're thinking of Woody Allen, and it's his adopted daughter. (At least, I hear she's adopted. It's creepy either way.)
Ahem. This episode was awesome. Supposedly Brian will be doing the whole class change thing at some point, and that's what I was expecting here. It's extra funny because I was looking for something else. Also, I liked Black Mage's line about the modus transporti. It's fun making up fake Latin phrases. I have my own: pro maxima. Finally, this clears up what I was asking in the last thread about where White Mage was in relation to the Light Warriors, temporally and spatially speaking. I am no longer confused.
