I simply must add my own protests at the notion of buying TC4. It is an awful game. It is exactly the same as it was 10 years ago (or more).
It has NO redeeming features, NO recommendations, you'll probably complete the entire thing in 20 minutes and it certainly isn't what you bought a next gen console for. Seriously, just don't. Uncharted however, is a great game. To be honest, I wasn't really interested in it myself when I first heard about it. Sure it looked good, and I figured it was probably a decent game, but it never really screamed awesome game alert! at me. But then I got it with my ps3 the other day, and I realise now how wrong I was. It's an awesome game. It looks absolutely stunning, and the combat looks like a movie action scene. The only critiscism I have is that it's slightly repetative, but no more so than a lightgun game would be. So yeah, forget TC4, get uncharted.

Oh Seil, if you're undecided right now, I'd suggest saving the money up for something that's coming relatively soon...say...MGS4 or Dynasty Warriors 6.
But yeah, if light gun gaming floats your boat... I probably still wouldn't do Time Crisis 4. It never really gave me alot of replay value and something's very strange with the difficulty on it, it's far too short. |

I seriously cant reccomend Uncharted enough. Id also reccomend Folklore, Ratchet, and Bladestorm, they take a damn long time to complete. |

I tried Rachet via PS Online Store/Demo Downloading thing and I wasn't really impressed. It looks and plays alright, but... it's not really that involving to me.
I do kinda wanna have the experience of having a motion sensing thing like the Wii, as well as one of my favorite arcade games... but I dun wanna buy it if it's that bad. Last edited by Seil; 02-20-2008 at 08:30 PM. |

The review I just linked is fair -- more fair than I personally believe Time Crisis 4 honestly deserves. There is a plot. A bad one. One best left ignored, which is easy to do, as it's just an arcade port. Treat it like one. The one complaint that keeps cropping up everywhere I look is that there's no on-screen targeting reticle. Reviewers bitch and moan about this all day! I don't get it -- no Time Crisis in history EVER had a reticle, and why the hell do you need one? The gun is in YOUR hands! If you happen to be a crappy shot, that's your problem, not the game's. ...Also, it's not like aiming is difficult in light gun games. You don't need to lead your target or anything. Maybe it's just me, but I always thought shooting light guns and hitting targets was about as complicated as pointing at those same targets with my finger.
