I'd be afraid to use something like this. I'm very visual-spacial, and the last thing I need is a system that abuses and reinforces that. :gonk:

(On using this to manipulate images to like solve a puzzle or something) I don't see how you can keep your focus on something like that once it becomes casual. |

What I thought was interesting was the process of brain synching, since it has to detect the numerous parts of your brain. But what if there are certain "issues" for some people? Like, for those who have undergone brain surgery (epilepsy, for example), or even those who have had half of their brain removed.
Would it be like a loading screen getting half way through and then failing due to errors?

Probably. The brain tends to use other parts to fill in for lost functions, so I imagine a physically altered brain would cause misreadings, yes. Like, wrong sensors firing due to mistranslation.

There's probably some military application here. Pseudo-psychics! They'll have two Power Gloves and a Virtual Boy attached, as well as the Pseudo-Psychic headset. (>>) Cyborgs, here we come!

an early model of course, but give it another ten years and this tech will start to be our standard mode of interaction with computers. that makes me excited in all sorts of ways.

I think they've used something like this in hospitals also.
Mostly on kids who got serious burns. They'd have a program in there which had the kids flying around on the northpole, or something, and they could fly with their minds controlling the character. This would let them really experience the program, and their bodytemperatures even dropped, due to their immersion. Thus, they wouldn't feel the pain as much when they got treated.
