IGNORE ME!
|
"I'll follow as well," Howl chimed in, it had been a while before he said anything. If he had been standing closer to Samoht when it happened he might have caught the man's scent, but finding it would still seem pointless. They were adrift in a sea of High elves finding one in particular would be ultimately impossible.
Something told Howl that acting as a substitute search dog was unnecessary though. A fire had been ignited in Samoht that Howl had never seen before, a search for a one's long lost son will do that to a man. Howl slipped his hands into his pockets as he pondered the boys face, it was all he had seen which could help.

Renetta separated from the group. "I'm going to go hit some books and see if I can dig up a spell or two that might help. It won't take long, I promise. I hope there's something useful to learn."
At that, the woman moved ahead into the town, more focused on getting out of the heat than in getting some research done. |

Katsu bowed his head and closed his eyes. I wonder if the boy even remembers his father. Losing your son is one thing, but if he doesn't remember you... that's another story altogether.
Lifting his head to speak, "You may not expect our help, but you are going to get it." Looking at the groups that were being made. "I think it may be wise to check the inns and bars to see if there are any underground groups or the like. That is the path I shall take. Are there any who will follow?"

"You don't have to ask me to help you." Desul said to Samoht. "Now you said something about a contact, so we may need to get movign to catch him, there is no telling what the hell is going on now that someone knows your here."

Samoht let go of the amulet, and spread his cloak out a bit.
"If you're coming with me, then follow. If you're going to do something else, we'll meet back up later." Samoht turned, his cloak billowing out around him. After walking for 15 minutes, the small group stopped in front of a rundown building. For those who looked around, they would notice that there were a lot less High Elves in this area. Samoht put his hand on the door, and opened it. He looked back at the small group. "Keep cool. If these guys think they can take you, they will."

Yet again the search for the keys entwines with the past. Connor thought to himself.
"I will go with Katsu to look for information." the minotaur said. "Though, if experience has taught us anything, it's that the altar will find us, not the other way around."

Samoht walked through the door, and the small group followed. He looked around. It was dark in here. Which wasn't unusual, seeing as how most of the inhabitants of the room were drow. Samoht had his hood still up, and whispered to the members of the group so that no others could here.
"Split up and head to different parts of the room. If this gets ugly, we might have to fight our way out."

Howl stepped into the building and quickly slid up against the wall. Pressing his back into it, he took his place by the door. His eyelids slowly dragged downwards until he appeared to be resting quite comfortably. He assumed any wolfkin would be eyed with a high level of suspicion so it would be better to place the drow at ease and secure the exit for his comrades.
His mind continued to ponder Samoht's child. Howl had seen him for only a moment but something about the boy haunted him. He continued to watch the room's going's on without the utmost focus.

"I'll search with Katsu, maybe my size could help eavesdrop. Who knows? People often overlook fairies." Gwyn said, following Katsu.
************************************************** **** As Samoht and company walked into the tavern, the atmosphere seemed to grow tense. The only thing comforting about the room was the people here held less hostility towards the group for being tolerant. Most were still some very angry individuals, but not due to racial intolerance. There were some various conversations, most seemed to be about trivial matters of poverty life. Trying to listen in on individual conversations was tough, however. A girl near the bar was telling the bartender that she was recently raped, but the officials won't do squat about it. Someone in the middle said something about a new girlfriend. In one corner, someone said something about staying away from the market district that evening. At the entrance, someone said they'd just been evicted.

Katsu nodded and took point, leading the other two through the crowded streets, avoiding as many people as he could. He stopped at what looked like a bar with rooms for rent. "What say we start out quest here? Any objections?"
