Playing the horrible mesh of it and the sequel just makes me want to play it more. I never got to finish Timestalkers, or whatever it was called. Final boss kicked my ass so hard... maybe it was because I played the game, instead of running from every fight to keep my level as low as possible so the boss would be weak. |

I just finished re-playing Wind Waker for the third time. It still feels pretty epic even though I know every plot twist. The part near the end where Ganondorf yells, "YOUR GODS DESTROYED YOU!" still gives me the shivers.
I had an itch to play Shining Soul 2 today, so that sucked up a good part of my day. I don't know why, but I just felt like a good level grind without having to team with the idiots online. I enjoy going back to Morrowind every now and then, even though I usually quit right after getting to Balmora (pathetic, I know). I think the highest level I ever got in that game was 19. Still worth my $20, though. Of course, there will always be Warcraft 3. Too bad people only play DoTA nowadays, and half of them are a-holes. Still the staple game at many LAN parties.

FFVI, VII, and VIII (if only my discs worked.)
Street Fighter 2. Any Megaman X game. Suikoden 1 and 2. Super Mario Kart. Chrono Trigger. Final Fantasy Tactics. Ogre Battle. Tactics Ogre. Man, I could keep going. I just pulled an all nighter on a paper. It's time for me to give out. |

I love settling down with some food and a lot of free time to start replaying an RPG...especially one I haven't in a while. You know, where you're sitting there, and you get all nostalgic. "Damn," you think. "I really want to replay that shiz."
And you do it, and you learn something again. If the game is a good game, every time you play it, you see something different--at least, that's been my experience. I'd say the usuals that people are listing here. The n64 party games, the PSX rpgs, the PC FPS/Strategy multiplayer games...even single player. I've been known to reinstall Fallout or Planescape Torment before.

Pilotwings 64 is probably my favorite one to go back to. I've played it at least once a week for nearly 8 years now, as it's probably the most calming and relaxing game I've ever come across.
Earthbound, Kirby Superstar, and an inumerable number of NES games also would get on this list.

Jak II and Beyond Good and Evil are on my "replay" list. The latter is really short, but every now and then I get the urge to pick up the old camera and start shootin' alien lifeforms.
