I have exactly 363 days left in the Navy, am currently somehwere near Iraq and have been floating for the better part of a month straight. This year I'm getting a new apartment, new car and hopefully keeping the old girlfriend. Just waiting out my enlistment before I go to college.
I'm going to be the oldest freshman you'll ever meet, unless you meet someone older. |

I'm 17, and I was just recently accepted into the University of Saskatchewan. I've now got to apply for scholarships and such, and ultimately come to grasp with the fact that I've grown up so much with are going somewhere else, and that I need to say goodbye.

Anyway, I just turned 25 two days ago, I cut off the vast majority of my hair 4 days ago, and I just stopped giving a shit about anything 9132 days ago. I'm currently squirreling money away for a move to LA, and will do so as soon as such a thing becomes feasible without having to nearly starve to death again. In the six and a half years since graduating high school, I've been having to put my career on hold in order to sort out everyone else's lives. Now that I've either fixed the problems of and/or completely alienated everyone that I know, it's time to get back to work! I've got enough connections out there to where I could probably get a decent enough voice acting career going, which beats the hell out of all the nothing I'm doing right now. I hate to give up my title of "Least Hardest Working Man in Show Business", but everything has to end sometime. EDIT: Oh yeah, and Blizzard released a new World of Warcraft patch tuesday that makes my computer crash, so I've been playing less of that lately.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I've been buying comic books lately, something I thought was not possible (seeing as how it's so damn far away, but my firend introduced me). I'm also trying to get a job at the local albertsons, but seeing as how I just turned 16, and how busy I am, and also seeing as how it's not summer, I probably wont get it (or any job) any time soon. EDIT2: and I'm having a wonderful time. Last edited by Sir Pinkleton; 01-10-2007 at 10:58 PM. |

In need of a vacation

I am currently working third shift in the test lab at a large aerospace company and going out of my mind, not in a good way. I have an apartment up in Burlington, VT with 4 other friends and it kills me to go to work every night when they are all getting ready to go out. I'm working on a degree in electrical engineering, though I'd rather be in construction again, own my own restaurant or become a physical therapist. The problem with that is I have too many medical bills and they have ruined my credit and I can expect more medical problems in the next couple years (my job has great benefits, so sticking here makes the most sense). Other than that I never get enough sleep, not because I'm doing anything, but because I lay in bed staring at my ceiling. What else, oh every car I get my hands on invariably will die within a month despite an excellent history before I get it (I have 4 dead cars!). /rant
Other than that I'm playing some Anarchy Online, Counter Strike and working out.

Well, I'm 19. I want to go to the University of Memphis to major in Music Industry after I graduate in May. I might even be valedictorian (I'm at least ranked in the top 5 of my graduating class). Also, I took a weeklong stay in a hospital a month ago. Because of the meds I've had to take since then, I can't do the fun drugs. As a result of that, I could probably pass a drug test now so soon I'm going to start looking for a job again.

I'm turning 21 in April, which still astounds even me. I expect gifts from each and every one of you.
Right now I'm a senior at ye olde university, but I'm thinking I'll end up sticking around a bit longer and going for a double major instead of graduating in June. There's only so much you can do with a degree in television production and electronic journalism, and if my health problems, God forbid, take a turn for the worse, I want a backup plan. I'm going for a minor or double major in English and Literature, and maybe later getting some teaching credentials. Then I've got plenty of bases covered. I can hear you mocking my choices in degrees. Stop it or I'll knock your teeth out with a camera tripod. I'm still working in my job of All Mighty Goddess of the Library Checkout Desk and Video Reserve Area. Technically, I'm more of a nun or a minion than a goddess, but I can call myself whatever the heck I want. I like the job for the most part. My co-workers are all really nice, and every now and then something totally bizarre happens to keep the job from drifting into monotony. Libraries are funny places sometimes. Other than that, let's see... I've got about thirty hours on Final Fantasy 12, and quite a few on Guitar Hero II. For whatever reason I never got around to finishing Dragon Quest 8 last year, despite how much I proclaimed its greatness, and every now and then I consider picking it up and trying to defeat Rhapthorne. Somehow Final Fantasy always ends up in the PS2 no matter what I originally intend on playing, though... Evil Squaresoft magic, perhaps? Oh, and I've been watching a lot of Tom Baker-era Doctor Who episodes lately. I love them so very much. The campiness rules all.

As for me, as I said, I'm looking to move to help my sister. She and her kids are in a very bad situation, and she, my best friend, and I are planning to move in together to help her take care of her three children. As for the fine details...I'm 27, divorced, have a BA in English, an awesome cat named Sisko, and I have no living children. I'm kind of hoping that somewhere along the line, after I get moved and settled in with a new job, I'll be able to pursue grad school and become a counselor...I might even see about trying to have a family of my own again, eventually, if it is meant to be. For now, though, I'll be satisfied with getting a job and getting my sister and her family to a safe place. |
