I had a really fun V-day. My special someone 'n' I walked dogs and played with the cats at the animal shelter. The poor little guys were starved for affection! What better day than Valentine's day to share with them? (the answer to that question is "every day". I think I'll make a point to go back more often.) Next we bought a dozen roses of assorted colors, and gave them away to our single friends. I thought they were probably going to make fun of me or be offended or something, but they actually seemed quite pleased, even...grateful? My guy wasn't exactly sold on the idea of paying $20 for flowers we weren't keeping, but I explained that it was like a mini-game, and he went for it. I kept one pretty peach-colored one for myself; we managed to give the rest away. Then we had all-u-can-eat pizza with a couple pals, headed homeward, and wound down with a few minutes of gaming. And then...we cuddled! What boggles my mind is that girls routinely turned this guy down in high school. Oh well. Their loss is my big, geeky gain.

too bad...I just broke up with my girlfriend the monday after V-day. We were supposed to go on a date the 14th but she had to help her family move. I hate the line "Let's still be friends."

I didn't get any valentine's...

I got nothing. I'm not suprised. I can't complain too much, as, with school out on the dreaded day of pinkness, I could simply seal myself away in a room and not be bothered.

Walking into a Hallmark store on V-day is like walking into THE WORLD OF PINK!! No colors exist but pink!

I dont like V-day, just seems like a corporate scam to get people to buy things. I guess I'm just jealous and upset that I've been alone for a long time though. I guess its good that the rest of the world doesn't have it as bad as me...we'd be in a world of crap.
