Am I the only one not really caring about this re-release?
The game is more than fine in it's original ps1 version..just goes to show that if one slaps on a new coat of paint on a cult classic, toss in a character that has all the fanboys/girls, and a sprinkling of new items and the masses will eat it up. If they really wanted to make more money off of it they could've released it on the ps2 instead of one of the most universally hated handhelds. So here is my obligatory Fuck you Sony. I'ma stickin' with my original copy of The Zodiac Brave Story! |

Well yeah, I see your point, but a lot of GBA games and DS games are 64/SNES ports, and no-one ever bitches about that.

And, judging from a lot of people's reactions, this is enough incentive for many to get the PSP. Honestly, I've been waiting for something like this. There's been other games out there that caught my interest, but not as much as a new (or rather, shinier) Final Fantasy Tactics. |

I'm torn over this one. Never beat the PSX one, so this could be a good chance to restart, but....I lack a psp.
One factor in my decisions about this game is the fact that the psp IS cheaper now, somewhat...

I always said it would take three unholy objects to make me buy a PSP.
Breath of Fire 3 was the first of those objects, but I resisted, Suikoden 1+2 would have been a push to the edge if it were released stateside... The FFT remake would have been a fucking drop kick to the forehead knocking me over that cliff. Knowing how easily broken and unreliable the PSP is, I'm glad they didn't release Suikoden 1+2. I would have caved by now.

It is a pretty great game. But, "more than fine" isn't really close. Badly translated story and/or effects being the biggest contender. Not to mention somewhat broken game mechanics, and glitches. It IS a great game because of the gameplay itself. Now imagine if that great gameplay came in a better package that it didn't have to work against. Of course, "Defeat Dycedarg's Older Brother" is pretty funny. They are releasing it for the PSP for the same reason the 360 is getting Blue Dragon, to get people to buy the unpopular system over in Japan. Here's hoping they eventually rerelease it for the PS2 though. But then, if I had gotten a PSP for it, I'd be pretty pissed. The Wandering God |

You know waht thouhg, If Sony made an addon to allow PSP games to run on PS3, that would boost the PS3 sales, and PSP game sales. Adn yes, I would buy the game again just for a translation and bug fix.
