Most of my TMNT figures were killed via playing Mr. Potato Head with 'em. The parts would get lost and eventually they all disappeared.

Legos, man. I had metric tons of them.
I did all sorts of crazy crap with them, including trying to fake an RPG with them. This happened several times. Even as a kid, I had no life. |

Legos and book here. I think I was the only kid that had to ask his parents for BOOKSHELVES for christmas, and I'm still the same- I have 4 in my room and 12 boxes of books in storage. When I went outside, it was to hike to my favourite tree, which I climbed, and then sat down, pulled OUT one of my books, and read.
...What? I lived in a Native Reserve. |

Ahh... Micromachines. I had about a battalion of those little things. I also had a couple of the playset things to go with them. Honestly, my favorite was the city that folded up into a van. Ahh... The glorious days before urban warefair become linked with Russians in my mind. I also had some cops, and used to simulate riots in my little MicroMachine city.
My neighbors and I used to have some major toy gun fights out in the woods behind our house. Running through the woods, clicking away, shouting 'I got you! Ya-huh I did!' And the time we built that "dam" in the drainage ditch behind the Goodman's house, that did nothing but catch old plastic bags. I still want to go spluerking (sp?) up that sewer pipe... And the Legoes! I was always building big, squat castles out of those things. I still do that. Those things made me the super-turtler I am on the internet today.

Transformers, LEGO, and books. My childhood in a nutshell.
Even though I could never get the damn Transformers back and forth, except for one, the raptor guy, DINOBOT, ah ha, he was awesome. LEGO, oh man did I have alot. Loved the stuff. |

Oh, man. Books. Anyone ever read the Bunnicula series? Man, that was one of my favorites as a kid. I still have the books (though they are on loan to my sister so she can read them to her kids).

Bunnicula? HAVE I! Who doesn't love a story about an insane cat, a chocolate loving dog and a rabbit that drinks vegetable juices at midnight?

I remember the bunnicula animated movie. Greatest thing ever.
My brothers and I (aka, just my brothers, because I was the youngest and the only girl so I was left out) would have giant GI Joe wars all over the house. And YES micromachines. I had a bunch of their little playset thingies. And of course, I played with girl stuff too. Barbies, My Little Pony, Polly Pockets (back when they were little enough to fit in your pocket.) And outdoor adventures! One of my close friends lived out in BFE and there was some contruction a little bit away from her, so there was tons of huge holes dug into the ground. So we would bike and explore the construction zone for hours. I remember I accidentally stepped in some serious mud, and I was litterally stuck. It took both of us quite awhile to get me out. And one time during summer I spent two full weeks on Drummon Island(small enough to only have one police officer) with my best friend at her grandparent's hand-build cabin right on the beach. We explored that island like crazy.

Anyone remember that Orbitz drink? It was this soda with little bubbles in it, and it got cancelled because someone got sick from it and sued. Two bottles were sold on EBay a while back. (>>) |
