It has seemed that quite a few people have been jumping to that conclusion in other threads.

Frankly, I think a healer can commit far more heinous acts than an overt destroyer. Torture is much more fun when you don't have to worry about the plaything dying on you.

I wonder if Fighter will realize that BM was laughing at the idea of him being smart.

Also, on an unrelated note, what effect would WM's change have on her idea of/respect for Sarda?

Hm... Everyone told fighter he was dumb. But when black mage said it... If he loved white mage, she being the only person ever kind to him, then her comment would hurt a lot more then black mage's.

And that would fit the law that all things exist to hurt black mage. (One I set in motion when he was 6 just for the heck of it.)

I'm sure Black Mage was laughing at how obvious it is that Fighter is smart, and therefore the question of whether or not he thnks Fighter is smart is merely a test of his own ability to perceive it.

That would be interesting twist, but I don't think WM is going to keep this evil thing up. We've already got one evil-but-not-in-a-too-mean-way character (GARLAND). And the last time we had two characters for the same roll in the story, one of them was killed off, twice if I remember correctly.

At this point I see two possible outcomes.

1. White mage turns back to being good after the light warriors mess up again and she fixes everything and this time it stays fixed at least until she walks out of line of sight.

2. Garland will somehow get killed or otherwise misplaced and WM will join the dark warriors, possibly as leader.
