"Stop it guys," Hannah called. She used her ability to calm patients in the event of undue stress to attempt relieving some of the tension. "We can bicker later, but we've got a job to do."

I think I'd be making better time if I didn't have to put up with this. Ixith thought to himself. The others apparently didn't put too much on making good time through the Descent, but Ixith did.

"Assuming our big shot doesn't want to go in first with a rolled up scroll," Ixith said, glancing at the necromancer, "I'll go in first." The draconian stood, and readjusted the grip on his polearm. "I assume you all can keep up with a big guy like me?"

Without waiting for a reply, Ixith dashed towards the open gate, glaive in front of him, ready to strike.

Cael walked towards the gate, they can't hurt him until he walked through that gate might as well let them hurt the big guy with scales he though to himself. When he reached the gate he turn around and looked back for a few seconds just to bother the draconian. When he steped over he got his staff ready to blast anything that threatened him.

Revan observed the other 4 curiously, he had already judged them in his mind, loudmouthed, brash, arrogant, reckless, and stupid. They were much like wild beasts, no sense of cooperation, no order. He sighed to himself, it seemed he had been paired with a bunch of selfish idiots. He stepped forward calmly approaching the two beautiful women and bowed before them. "Beautiful Mika, elegant Takano, do I really have to work with them." Revan extended a finger towards the others as they ran through the gate.

Hannah followed the rest of the group in. She gave a polite nod/bow to the guards as she passed.

Lyle came to a quick halt right in front of the gates. He eyed the spiders very suspiciously and waited for one of his teammates to make the first move.

The spiders weren't present. And there weren't any statues that might suggest the spiders were trying for subterfuge either. But where the hell did they go?

Something fell to the ground in a crumpled heap. It was a marionette, and there were at least two dozen more hung from strings on the japanese castle that stood before them. The marionette rose to its feet and extended her hands. Her moments were jerky and quick as she advanced on the dragonian. Behind her...or it, seven more marionettes clattered to the floor and were already animating on impact.
