I sorta figured Lair killed the PS3. If not Lair, Killzone 2 will probably drop the scores a lot.

Sure the Wii has some bad games...but it also has a lot of good ones. And Bellsouth, you might have a lot of fancy graphs and charts but who's reviews are those based on? They could be bias. In many different ways. Some of them unintentional but still...statistics is a trick business...as statistics is the only math that I actually understand I can tell you that there are many things that can influence that graph...

For instance...if there are more Wii games out there than PS3 games then more likely than not the Wii's bar is going to be smaller.

Also take in to account who is reviewing these games...adults. As Raiden said his kid brother loves games that we of the older and jaded persuasion believe are childish and stupid or just plain easy. Well the games are made for children after all so they are going to be those things.

Also I have a few words that will top and game the PS3 exclusively has: Super...smash...Bros....Brawl. So don't count the Wii out just yet, folks! Also as Raiden said the Wii is out selling the other 2 by far.

The Wii is only outselling the other two because it's cheap as dirt, and good for about as much.

When you have your casual gamers, or your parents buying a birthday present, or whatever, they're looking at price tags and getting the cheaper system. Honestly even some of the hardcore gamers have bought/do buy the Wii just because it's so cheap that there's not really much reason not to.

Really, all I have to say on which system is better is this--I have all three. I played my x-box like last week or so, my PS3 yesterday, and my Wii... shit, I don't know. The last time I played it was like a month after Twilight Princess came out.

Edit: To answer the main topic's question, it's because most of the stuff available for the Wii is shovelware rapidly taken out from the PS2 without any care about how crappy or not it may end up like. Take also the fact that almost all of the 90+ games are developed solely by Nintendo and you get an idea of why most of the stuff is so average or below.

Edit2: Let me clarify: I'm not saying you're purposefully asking for flames or something, but if you don't like what the format is offering that may just be because what's coming out doesn't strike as interesting to you. Quite frankly, I play my Wii almost every day and my catalog is already on approaching the twenties, which is saying a lot considering I used to only own about nine games max in the previous generations for each of my consoles. If you don't like it that's fine, but to say there's nothing worthy of being played except of casual non-games is a grave misunderstanding.

It's Gamerankings.com man... they do an average over several major Reviewers for each game. So it's an Average on a Average. Can't be really Biased there when you're just crunching numbers from all different places.

And c'mon people... dont mix Quantity with quality... i could use Movies as an way to prove that the bigger "bucks" arent likely from the best movies out...

Really, a father goes to by their kids a gift, see that White little Wii Box with carnival games, sport games, Sudoku, all about moving during gaming and playing with cute little things...

right next to the Ps3 and Xbox, with their Guns, Gore and Fast cars...

THEN they check the price tag...

They buy a Wii...

well whats so wrong with catering to casual gamers? The Wii has enough high calibur games like mario, zelda, super smash bros, to warrent its price to me. People act like just because majority of games dont cater to their particular demographic that something is wrong with their business stratigy. I would say Nintendo's 'target the old people and children' approach is working rather well. Maybe a hardcore gamer doesn't want a wii, but for every hardcore gamer that doesn't want one, there are 4 casual gamers that do.

Yeah the Wii is 100% worthy of it's price tag, but the problem is not catering for the casual gamers... but catering for them with GOOD games... because that's becoming more and more rare

Good games by whose standards? I mean clearly the casual gamers like whats out there and reviewers are definitely not the average casual gamer. So looking at reviews from reviewers who are completely out of touch with the demographic of the intended audience is very biased. What makes a good game is generally so subjective that no matter what you do there is bias. In this case its a rather extreme one.

That is where this whole "statistics" thing turns to crap. The games are reviewed by hardcore gamers, the Wii is not a system for hardcore gamers. I play my "hardcore" games on my PC, and will probably get a PS3 for the titles it offers. When you compare a PS3 game with a Wii game you end up with an opinion based on who is making the comparison. Saying that the Wii doesn't have quality titles is like me saying that the PS3 only has 6 games out. It just isn't true.

The charts look to me like they're a direct graphics comparison more than anything else.
