Ok, having recently beaten both Dead Rising and Kane and Lynch, I feel compelled to ask: Why the shitty non-endings guys? I shouldn't finish the game, watch the cutscene, and then sit there dumbfounded wanting to know why the gameplay isn't starting up again since what I viewed was clearly just some stopgap in between missions.

Anyway, the no Director's Cut edition of Final Fantasy is a downer, especially considering that we get the Deluxe editions of pretty much every other RPG that's released.

On the subject of Dead Rising and endings:
Okay, what's with the 'inevitable sequel' setup? I hate it when games do this, especially when the developer (since we're talking about Dead Rising) never seems to get around to making the 'inevitable sequel' he spent so much plot time building up to? And while we're at it, fighting game plotlines. God damn they are not that difficult to make, but you'd think with Namco that they had gorillas banging on monoliths to design the plot of every fighting game they had. Guilty Gear handled it excellently - Story Mode and Arcade mode were totally separate. Story mode filled you in on each character's personality and what they've done in the GG universe. Arcade mode was the traditional 'beat up 10 guys then face Boss I-no' style. This was a good idea. Stop trying to 'explain' things, Namco, it's just embarrassing.

While we're at it we could also take the time to discuss Chrono Trigger 2's development team or Spaceballs 2: The Search For More Money, but come on, you knew those were fake anyway.
