Wal-Mart Age 46 Female portrait row two, #4. Focus on politics (for getting tax breaks), army (for masses of consumers), and navy (for shipping outsourced manufacturing products overseas). Low intellect.

Is there an age cap? Cause you should set it to the highest and make Mcain.

Three character ideas for you to play with:
Well, if we're going to have this Let's Play session turn into a partisan United States politicalfest, I hearby request that to balance out the absolute (albiet entirely appropriate, sadly enough) suckiness of George Bush's stats, we have a Ronald Reagan ruler with high stats all around. (Particularly high stats in regards to his superb intelligence, absolute army allegiance, and ability to charm all the pretty ladies. Oh yeah, and Ronald Reagan's age should be twenty-eight in-game, just to encourage the absolute hilarity of him outliving his contemporary rivals.) I guess he could be a ruler if you really need one, but officer works too. On another note entirely: first face in the last available pictorial slot that shows only two potential male officers. (Second one there can work too if the first is taken.) I want me a real life Solid Snake running amok. Let's have his age be like thirty-six, which is close to accurate for inbetween MGS1/2 shenangians. Snake should have low political skill (remember, this guy could barely freakin' understand the nature of the conspiracies running amok in MGS, and was used and abused by politicans.) But very high army and war skills, as well as a high Intelligence score (Kojima says Snake has an IQ of 180.) I'd say he could do with moderate charm and below-average Navy to round things off. Finally, if I could create one more character for ya: choose any bald (or close-to-bald) male character icon. Name the character John Locke. (Any Lost fans in the house?) Locke should have below-average Intelligence combined with a rip-roaring ability to charm, scheme and outmanuever the crap out of everyone else. (IE, high charm, political and war.) I'd like to see a character with a substantially higher war stat than his army stat to see how that changes his tactical dynamic, and it fits Locke's character to be a great war-planner but a below-average army-motivator, if that makes any sense whatsoever. Thanks very much!

So you want me to hack a super Reagan? Rulers can, at best, have 2 particularly high stats and 1 medium one or so. I'm not going to be hacking rulers as I don't have to button mash for an hour to get their stats. I'll give him high charm and high politic and medium army, making him a "Sit in far away safe place" ruler instead of an on the field awesome-fights ruler. The rest fit fine, as I will be haxing around with character files.
Also I guess I should make it clear that I am not hacking any all +90 stat characters unless you guys convince me of the awesomeness. Chances are any real people you suggest as characters won't cut it because real people fails! Oh to answer your question, high war low army characters are the type that you use to recruit and build up troops to retarded levels, then send out on horseback with like 1000 troops to challenge every officer to combat they can. With high war, either they lose the fight or they reject and the opposing troops lose morale. This guy will not be fighting anyone head on with retardedly low army.

I just wanted a counter for Bush, really, so I'm satisfied with whatever you'll give me. However, if you have like 5 rulers and all of them are US political-based, I'd be totally cool with you "demoting" Reagan to officer and "promoting" like a John Locke character (age should be around 50 for Locke, btw) so that we can all actually play for a faction that's not politically biased.
As much as I love the incredibly warped idea of US politics injecting itself into Chinese history, I think when it comes to the faction you're actually playing as, you might want to choose one that's not going to ailenate the politicos. Of course I'm not exactly sure how rulers work in this game, though (do you get to choose which ruler goes with which nation? Do you get to choose which ruler you play as, or is it randomly assigned?) EDIT: Oh, and let me vote on the age to start if I may. The Chaotic Era Begins sounded like one of your favorite eras, and it's always a funner LP if the creator's having fun, so I'll vote for that. Who doesn't love chaos?

You do know I'm not choosing right? There'll be five rulers who win the vote for being inserted in the game, then one of those five wins the vote for who I play (since you guys do not want me playing a Chinese ruler).
For all I know you guys could make me play Dr. Rockso, the Rock n' Roll Clown as a ruler. Anyhow custom rulers are just their own separate entities that you start off in one of the blank provinces on the map. They get 3 custom characters to use and very crappy starting resources. Edit for your edit: I like all the eras, actually. They're all pretty unique as they never turn out the same, but I love Chaotic Era because basically Lu bu is his own ruler and half the time it's Lu Bu vs Cao Cao beating each other up and that is tons of fun.

Ah, kay. You see, I'm used to this dynamic on "Let's Play" threads started on other message boards where there's like, 25 free slots and all twenty-five are almost immediately taken by the fastest posters in some free-for-all frenzy, and I'm used to losing out. So basically I skimmed most of your intro post like a jerk so I could just get to the part I needed to fill out to ensure I had some say in things.
If what you say is true, I should probably ask to make Reagan an officer and not a ruler if more than five rulers are created just to give him a chance in hell to see him in the game... :P But seriously, good luck with this, I always love a well-run Let's Play topic.
