The trial doesn't let me play Arcade so I can't check that. However the local multiplayer mode gives me the choice between Classic and HD Remix modes. Classic HD is the original Super Turbo with everything from the original Super Turbo unchanged. Super Street Fighter 2 does not have supers. If, when you choose that mode, you can use supers, you are playing original Super Turbo, not Super Street Fighter 2. The inclusion of SSF2 isn't mentioned at all in the feature list so I believe you are mistaken.

there is a mode called "Super Street Fighter 2" and there are no super moves available. The option is brown. it comes immediately after selecting your character.
movesets are slightly changed in super turbo compared to non-turbo. When you buy the full game you'll see that I am not mistaken, but I don't take offense and here's a simple walkthrough on choosing non-turbo. (this works in arcade and local/online matches too, so long as it's classic arcade). Steps to reproduce aka access non-turbo: 1) load game 2) Press Start 3) select Single Player 4) select Classic Arcade 5) select Training Mode (may have 4/5 mixed up) 6) Select your character (Let's go with Ken) 7) a selector on the top left will have a blue and a brown option. the brown option is the non-turbo with no super moves. Also Ken's special kicks malfunction like crazy in this mode. |

I think that's just letting you use the old characters. If you never played it, in classic Super Turbo you could enter a code to use the old versions of the characters, who lacked supers but were different. You're not necessarily playing SSF2, but just using that version of the character. Since you mention that it only comes up in Classic Mode after selecting your character that's probably the case.
But I shall see for myself. I didn't mean to cause offense either =) Last edited by mudah.swf; 11-27-2008 at 01:48 PM. |

That's actually one of the selling points that's supposed to come up later- it's all 3 games in one, it just doens't feel like it.
I hated it and thought it was a shitty design myself. >.> Especially since the biggest change is that... I think 6 characters had a faulty move, and Dhalsim's Down+Punch headbutt only works with Fierce punch in the mode selection I'm talking about. If you do choose to use this -entirely optional- non super mode, know that many of the move inputs are incorrect. |

Go above Fatty McFatFat and press up, OR, in classic mode, press all three punches + Start.

So far I think my favorite part of this game is when I perform a combo at close range and intend on finishing it off with a flaming shoryuken, and the controller makes me jump instead.
Or maybe it's when I go to shoryu-reppa and end up doing a hadoken. HEY MICROSOFT IF YOUR NEXT CONSOLE AS A SHITTY FUCKBALLS D-PAD LIKE THIS ONE I SWEAR I'M GOING TO CUT YOU

Ok, got the actual game now. pretty cool. I can also confirm Nikose that the game is merely letting use the "Old" versions of the characters, not letting you actually play SSF2itself. Just like ORIGINAL Super Turbo let you do. (although you had to put in a code)*. I'm liking Fei's longer rekkas and Guile's mega flash kick personally.
*I guess you COULD call this playing 3 games in one, if both players were using old characters, Last edited by mudah.swf; 11-28-2008 at 11:44 AM. |

I'm really liking that lots of the characters don't suck nearly as much ass.
Example: Cammy, Fei Long.

Fei Long is the male jumper, to match with Chun Li and Cammi.
and no I hate playing 'boss' characters and find them cheap. spamming Down+RH with M.Bison is the cheapest way to beat Very Hard difficulty ever and it works. |
