My first playthrough I totally ruled in the Hong Kong canals and the underwater research complex.
Plus I used the slot I would've wasted on a rebreather to store a candy bar which I kept from starving foreigners.

The game's running at hyperspeed again for some reason, so the first part will be delayed while I figure out how to fix this. It's about 3 times faster than it should be running!

Several years ago...
"I take it he was agreeable?" "He didn't really have a choice." "Has he been infected?" "Oh yes, most certainly. When I mentioned that we could put him on the priority list for the Ambrosia vaccine, he was so willing it was almost pathetic." "This plague -- the rioting is intensifying to the point where we may not be able to contain it." "Why contain it? Let it spill over into the schools and churches, let the bodies pile up in the streets. In the end, they'll beg us to save them." "I've received reports of armed attacks on shipments. There's not enough vaccine to go around, and the underclasses are starting to get desperate." "Of course they're desperate. They can smell their death, and the sound they'll make rattling their cage will serve as a warning to the rest. " "Mmm. I hope you're not underestimating the problem. The others may not go as quietly as you think -- intelligence indicates they're behind the problems in Paris." "A bunch of pretentious old men playing at running the world... ...but the world left them behind long ago. We are the future." "We have other problems." "UNATCO?" "Formed by executive order after the terrorist strike on the Statue. I have someone in place, though. I'm more concerned about Savage -- he's relocated to Vandenberg." "Our biochem corpus is far in advance of theirs, as is our electronic sentience. And their... ethical inflexibility has allowed us to make progress in areas they refuse to consider." "The augmentation project?" "Among other things -- but I must admit that I have been somewhat disappointed in the performance of the primary unit." "The secondary unit should be online soon. It's currently undergoing preparation and will be operational within six months. My people will continue to report on his progress. If necessary, the primary will be terminated." "We've had to endure much, you and I, but soon there will be order again, a new age. Aquinas spoke of the mythical City on the Hill. Soon that city will be a reality, and we will be crowned its kings. Or better than kings... Gods." Before I write up the next section, there's a choice to be made concerning your first conversation on Liberty Island - wrist-mounted mini crossbow, sniper rifle or GEP Gun (homing rocket launcher)? And yes, I'm blatantly copying DFM by doing this. It's convenient!

So, what, all your points went into Hacking and Swimming? That makes the weapon choice a little difficult.
Snipers are probably hard to use when untrained and Rocket Launchers are ALWAYS overkill, so I'll say crossbow.

Mini-crossbow ftw. Especially since it won't stop working while you're swimming, like the guns should.

Get the GEP, all the others can be found around the statue within the first 10 minutes. Also I reccomend not wasting ammo on anyone right now; everyone on Liberty island can be crowbarred in the head, tnt'd, or lured to ED-209 for swift bullet surgery.

Well, double Damn I scoot over TWICE for two LP's, but I am pleased to see a Deus Ex one pop up. I am super happy about this game.
Suggestions: No save-state/reloading. Only if you DIE. This way, our man-made Jesus isn't also a telepath. Or you can poll the audience for advice (is it worth it to waste a multitool, key here?) As for Master Doug the Eagle's guide, the only thing worth replicating is blowing the chinese Whore named Chow to hell before you ever hear of her. Or wiring her room with explosives. Other than that....Kill everyone. EVERYONE. They are all murderable at some point or another... And no swimming(the pool is only open for cyborgs older than twenty!) Or lockpicking either, just demolitions and heavy weaponry. A big enough explosion solves ALL problems.

Apologies for slowness of update - figured out the hyperspeed problem at least, it's related to my laptop's power settings somehow. If I switch the battery to "Always On" (even though I don't use the battery as it went dead a long time ago and I don't take the laptop anywhere), it runs normally. At normal power settings, the game somehow takes the "slower processor" speed outside of the game and applies it ingame, where it goes hyper since the processor gets faster... or something like that.
Mesa get the stuff ready for tomorrow! (Oh, and need more weapon choosing)
