Swallow and Roll Out!
|
Eh, on second thoughts, it looks like the group of 5 has filled up before I could make my character. I guess I'll sit out.

I don't think there's a reason to sit out yet, RR. I'm very interested in his RP. If the number of players go pass five, I'm sure Aero has a backup plan for it.

Question! If we all start with 1 ARMS, and we killed 20 people who, presumably, had 1 ARMS each, shouldn't we have at least 21 ARMS to use? Also, given that '20% of your body' doesn't necessitate it being a single portion, I figured that multiple body parts could be converted, as long as they were small enough. Ehehe.
Name: Devin Callahan Gender: Male Appearance: 5'8, 120lbs. Curly black mid-length hair that tends to be messy. Caucasian. Thanks to the ARMS injection, Devin's slight build is now roughly about that of the average person, but still hides his newfound physical prowess. His hands, the main focus of the ARMS, have changed shape, in addition to taking on a purplish hue. The nails have transformed into protractible catlike claws, using his fingers as sheathes. He always wears gloves for this reason. The other focus of his ARMS is his eyes; the irises have taken on the elliptical shape of that of a cat's. The brown color of them has also warped, splitting into several different colors, making it quite the memorable sight. Luckily, they're easy to hide with sunglasses. ARMS: Feline Claws (2 ARMS): A set of protractible claws on each hand have replaced the nails there, giving Devin a pair of deadly weapons for close-up fighting. They slice through normal human skin quite efficiently, and seem to cause more bleeding than one would expect. Claws have uses outside of combat, as well, such as climbing. Venom (3 ARMS): A neurotoxin covers Devin's claws, giving him another method of dispatching opponents. This particular one induces paralysis, the strength and immediacy of which is affected by how much of the venom is transferred. Devin theorizes that his blood might also carry some of these properties, but hasn't yet tested this theory, for obvious reasons. Enhanced Vision (2 ARMS): His vision is much sharper now, and he can see much further than he originally could. Night vision is another bonus, making areas with low amounts of light as plain of day. Absolute darkness is still dark, however. Enhanced Speed (3 ARMS): Exactly what it says on the tin. Devin is able to move at speeds faster than even most other ARMS-infected. Perfect for a surprise attack, striking quickly, or fleeing should the situation get too dangerous. Enhanced Agility (3 ARMS): Also exactly what it says on the tin. Devin reacts quickly to situations, making it easier to dodge attacks, change directions quickly, perform acrobatics, et cetera. Remaining ARMS: Equipment: A motorcycle. Backstory: Devin was a freshman in college studying psychology before the ARMS Run began. He has since left, instead traveling wherever the odd sensation led him. He stole the motorcycle of the first person he had killed, deciding that a means of transportation was necessary. He later added other elements to his wardrobe, a outfit consisting of black leather and reflective sunglasses, taking on the appearance of a biker. It looked the part and provided an excuse for his travels. People just see a biker going in and out, and never think to connect to nameless, faceless vagrant with the murder here and there. Motivation: Survival. If the other participants are to hunt the others down, that might include him; best to take them out, first. That one hundred million doesn't sound too bad, either. Allignment: True Neutral

Hmm considering all the speed freaks I think I have an idea for what to do with those last five ARMS. Editing now.

ok I think I need to specify something. because alot of profiles make this mistake. If you spend all your ARMS on upgrades, said upgrades become next to worthless. The upgrades augment the parts of the body that are already converted. 10 point powers are the best example of this, and why they are useless to start. Lets say you get the 10 point power instant regeneration and convert 10% of your body with the other points, that means you can only regenerate that 10%. So yes you can instantly regenerate your right hand but that wont help you much in a fight.
Spending points on powers sacrifices the amount of your body thats enhanced. And any power you use comes from the ARMS you have. If you spend all 20 of your points that means the entirety of all your powers is being supported by that original bit of ARMS that has modified your blood, even a paper cut will weaken you and if you are bleeding enough your powers are gone. So to clearify, you want unspent points, unspent points means more of you is stronger, faster, more resilient, and able to heal. If you spend all 20 points to convert your right arm, that right arm is not only physically powerful but if its cut off it will be back in a day. At the cost of only 2 points you can enhance that arm further and be able to smash stone. More importantly unspent ARMS just causes some discoloration, making it easy to hide. Spent points cause obvious alterations, lengthened limbs, unnatural muscle growth, oozing odd liquids. Not standing out in a crowd is an advantage when super powered humans are hunting you. I appologize for stating it so poorly in my opening post, and hope this clears things up

yes, I will wait abit before saying whats approved, as I figured knowing this people might want to rethink their points. Especially since once you have them you are stuck with them. Also because most of you didn't mention what your remaining points alter and its easier for me to make a general statement then saying nearly everyone has to add it
Oh and unless precidence is set, during gameplay PM me when you want to spend points to make sure the power is approved. Dont worry about it now, but for later. PS 5 is not the player cap. 5 on a team, if there are more then five then there will be more then one team

ok hate to double post but, I got some time, so here are the notes and satus of those so far
Mac: Already discussed with you the specifics, long as you remember that approved AB: ok the only big issue is the stealth, Its more of a ten point power. You also have missjudged the points. Assuming this is all based around enhanced legs, jumping is 3, and speed would be 2. Keep in mind your legs will not look human. I suggest you drop the alloy skin for now and put all your points into converting your legs with ARMS. Both legs would take about 40 units, but they would automatically get several minor enhancements, all of which you are working towards already. Overcast: over all its good, you got enough ARMS left to convert your brain and nervous system. Be aware slow motion thing doesn't let you go beyond human limits, not like you can dodge bullets or anything but I'm betting you figured that out. Approved Raptor: Decay would be pushing even a ten point power. Decaying something without needing to actually interact with it is a massive advantage, I'll allow the reanimating but only if you either ditch the telepathic link or have some sort of physical connection like a string or something. In any case they will be slow weak fodder to be clear. Atila: only parts of you altered by ARMS would be immune to fire. Though the big thing is, I get where you are going with the lighter and flammable blood but, it wouldn't really help you, you only have so much blood and frankly carrying around a canister of gas would accomplish the same thing. Wizardcat: looks good, approved

The slow motion thing should only be a perception. In reality he still moves as quickly as anyone else unless he uses Bodily Function to up his metabolism and adrenaline creation. As said in the description it is primarily to help him respond to things. He cannot dodge bullets, but he can probably notice when a trigger finger is about to twitch and avoid vital organ impact.
