I have been hearing that about Breaking Bad for a while now! I really do need to just dive on into that series at some point.

I don't know if you're into fantasy books, but The Blending Series by Sharon Green is pretty rad.
Also, read up on the classics, like Nietzsche, Goethe and Milton! |

Man, you guys are really disappointing. We could be making Fifth expand his horizons, improve as a human being, take classes, learn new skills...
Instead you're all like "WATCH TV AND READ FANTASY NOVELS!" Nevermind, I forgot Blues recommended vidjamagames already.

Comics!
I was looking to getting into Inhumans yesterday, with the War of the Kings event and all, and it just happens it was tied to incredibly awesome Annihilation/Nova/Guardians of the Galaxy series so read/reread those. I also plan on acquiring Absolute Sandman I next month. If you want to end with the few happy moments in your life, get Jimmy Corrigan. Books! Got into some Pos-Apocalyptical lately, with Canticle for Leibowitz and Earth Abides(I also bought The Road, but it wasn't my cup of tea). I plan on buying The Name of The Wind and Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell someday for a Fantasy fix. TV! ...I think the only I still watch on TV is Dexter... BUT I got the first season of Breaking Bad and I reccomend watching the whole thing. Bookie has been bitching me to watch The Wire for a couple of months, so there. Anime! The last thing I watched was...Kure-nai, some months ago. Even before that, Eden of the East, which unfortunately relies on theatrical films to end the story and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei(Just remember to turn your nonsense radar Off). Eveybody in this forum knows you dig Baccano!, so you'll probably enjoy Durarara. Webcomics! MSPaint Adventures? |

Really, what do you expect?

Regardless, to go with your suggestion/rebuke... The Bible. All of it. Especially those parts pertaining to eternal salvation. Preferably New American Standard for best accuracy, but if its too wooden (literal translations of another language are often awkward) the NIV is ok and is much easier. Available for free here if you don't have much cash. If you don't want to read all 66 books that comprise it (understandable) I'd recommend John or Luke especially (the New American Standard Bible has excellent cross-reference notes if you want to check them out). This should be followed up by becoming a Christian! Hey, I'd like to meet you and hang out for a millennia or two one day! What? I'm one of those evangelical fundamentalist wierdos studying for my Bachelors of Science in Bible, what do you want from me? All right, how about Os Guiness' The Call? Fine, fine, something that's not "religious"... ... ... ... um... ... I got nuthin'. *Heh, sorry Fifth. NOTE: at least one of those links is to tvtropes!

That's so PC of you

i would honestly suggest a new Hobby, something you can invest time and some money in it. Did you do/did some 3d Modeling?
Now, i've just started on GunPla myself, but it's not limited to that at all. Cars, Bikes, Boats, Nasa Vehicles... a Good model can take the better part of a Month to put together and it's full of optional steps you can take the more "pro" you want to be. From simple sanding and Lining to flat out Custom painting. The entry fee for such hobby can be around US$100 if you take a couple of models (or a really nice one) and a VERY sturdy pack of tools (except painting). It's arts & craft at it's finest and i got really excited about it. Some of the Basic kits can have around 150 parts each ant the better ones can peak at the 500 parts |
