Character Name: Abdul-Rahim, but his friends and co-workers call him Abdul.

Gender: Male

Age: 25

Organization: Protectors, also the Guardians

Class: Decoy

Special Abilities:

Illusions: Abdul has an innate ability to make people believe what he wants. He can alter sight, sound, and smell. He focuses and forms an image in his head of wha he wants to change, and everyone within 50 yards of himself. He can use this to distract, disorientate, and disguise. When he makes it, its fairly easy to control the illusions movements. There's a limit though. He can't make a local park into a glacier. It only affects a few things. About three or four factors. at a time.

Traps: In conjunction with his illusions, Abul has a variety of traps and tricks at his disposal. He carries a number land mines, trip wires, nets, and even some flash bombs to keep enemies at by and in harm. It takes him little time to find an area and set it. Considering his position as decoy, it can be quite useful.

Running: Self-explanatory. His position as target has made him quite good at pacing himself. He's sort of like Rincewind.

Bio: Abul was no one. He was born in the worst parts of the middloe with no home, and soon enough no family. It was just him and his little brother. Obviously, things weren't going to improve themselves any time soon, so Abdul decided to take initiative. When he was age 16 he too his brother and they made their way out of the City and to the desert, hoping to get somewhere with an air-port, or at least somewhere marginally better. It was here that Abdul started being somebody, at a cost.

The two made good progress and time, using supplies that they had stolen, and continued their trek. Unfortunately, Abdul thought it would be a good idea to deviate from the road. It would get them to where they needed sooner, a shortcut. He was dead wrong. They were lost. Meandering aimlessly, trying to get back on track, the two came upon an odd sight. People. They were all in dark cloaks with hoods, around a big circle. They grabbed and blindfolded the two, and carted them off to God knows where.

When Abdul awoke, he found himself in an eery cathedral, he was still tied up and gagged, but he could see. The cloaked figures were suttounding something. An alter of sorts. It took a while for Abdul to see what was happening. His brother was on the alter. He tried to scream, tried to escape his ties and do something, but it was all for naught. They killed his brother and used him as a sacrifice for a summoning.

They were probably about to do the same to Abdul himself, but the guardians arrived and intervened, if too late for his brother. The guardians were similar to the Society, only their purpose was different in one particular way: their job was to make sure that knowledge of Demon's and the supernatural was a secret to as many as possibele. This included many of the governments of the area. Their main HQ was located in Israel, and they had several others scattered along the middle east, and one small station in America.

After being rescued, Abdul was more or less forced to join them, to keep the word closed. He was going to be delegated to mostly desk work and filing, but they found that he was actually capable off more. He was able to affect the senses through his abilities. They naturally moved him to training, and he had served as decoys, trackers and other such roles for a while with them. There is no part he won't play, and no mission he won't take.

With the Mother of Hell appearing though, things are changing a bit. In a bid to gain some influence, they have shipped Abdul off to America when he was about 22. He's managed to use quick thinking to survive as a protector for a while now. So far, the Guardians haven't sent word for him to pull out yet, but they may act.

Equipment/Belonging
:

Traps: Abdul carries a satchel around with him full of these. He has ropes, trip wires, nets, stakes and even landmines and flash bombs. How he uses them can vary. He is a quick thinker though, he typically finds some good uses for everything. Orthodox or not.

Jeep: Abdul's premiere form of travel. Not much special about it. Just a car.

Swiss army knife: It has stuff in it. Screw driver, knife blade, scissors, and even a nail file.

Duster: Abdul's badass longcoat. Just like in the movies.

Notes: Abdul greatly enjoys America. He hasn't been there too long, but he already considers it home. He considers himself one to. His accent rarely shows itself, only when he's nervous. He is also a big fan of movies, his favorite is Men In Black, needless to say, he looks forward to working with SECA. He also is willing to use his illusions for silly and frivolous reasons at the drop of a hat. He is like a magical prop-comic. In fact, when nothing is going on, he likes to make a false top-hat, for no real reason. Just because.

---------

Here he is, Abdul-Rahim. He is sort of useless, but his purpose is mostly comedic relief. I do remember the thing last time where the illusions don't affect demons, I hope your willing to change that for Psionics. He also has little to no sense of direction.

In conjunction with his disguises, Abdul has several false identities and personalities. He even has fake I.D.s for them.

Don't worry about vetoing it though, I have several character designs and choices. I can change it.

Default So many of my Titles? taken...

Name: "Bloody" David Amnell
Gender: Male
Age: Maybe 22, he's not sure.
Home: Adelaide, Australia
Current Residence: Not Adelaide Australia
Organization: Protector, Crimson Lotus
Class: Psychic, Hemakeneticist

Special Abilities:

Make 'em Bleed: David can focus on a target within a dozen yards of him and cause their blood to cease clotting and thin, causing profuse bleeding from tiny wounds.

Blood Density Manipulation: Can cause small amounts of blood to solidify, with strenght comparable to steel. The controlled blood can also have it's density reduced, having it behave closer to a gas then a liquid.

Blood Kinetics: David is capable of manipulating the position and shape of 'liberated' blood from a significant distance, having an amount fly about as he wishes. He is also capable of disrupting the circulatory systems of a single target at a time within a few yards, causing air bubbles, forcing the blood through thin membranes, or even pushing blood counter to normal circulation.

Universal Blood Receiver: An ability unique to him, David is able to make use of any blood as his own to flow within his circulatory system, regardless of presence or absence of inherited antigenic compounds.

Awaken Blood: After concentrating on a target, David can cause the blood to temporarily awaken, and attempt to leave the target's body as violently as possible.

Blood Brand: David is able to draw on his skin with his own blood. This requires David to trace the symbol/figure/letters on his skin with his fingers. The blood rises near the surface, looking like a bruise in the shape drawn. A fan of body art, David has been known to use this for disguises, or just for cool temporary tattoos, and even note taking.

Bio: Soon after birth, David was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder that gave him few years to live. His parents were given a choice of instant hospitalization, where he would be kept for years of research with a slight chance of cure, or have a normal life, with the possibility that he would die quite young. His parents, both unable to afford the constant hospitalization and unwilling to subject their child to a life of imprisonment, decided not to tell David. Instead, they allowed his grandfather to raise him.

David's grandfather was an unexceptional psychic, capable of rather weak heat control. He saw potential in David, and tried to coax out David's power. One day while preparing the evening meal, David managed to cut himself with a can lid. Normally an injury of this sort with his disease would constitute a medical emergency, but David found himself able to consciously stop the flow of his blood from the wound. His family was ecstatic, David would be able to have some sort of normal life with the ability to control his condition.

Soon after he discovered his ability to control his blood, his entire demeanor changed. His personality became darker, and mysterious deaths of rodents concerned his family. Finally, a classmate's mysterious Heart Attack raised suspicions, especially those of his grandfather. Disowned by his family, he ran away from home.

David resurfaced in the United States 8 years later, and joined a demon hunting clan known as the 'Crimson Lotus'. Not as much an official organization as it was a gang of social outcasts and victims of demons, they operated on the hairy edge of the law, killing demons for personal vengeance, or simply for the thrill. While David was not particularly strong, or an exceptional shot with a firearm, he found his ability to manipulate his own blood as a weapon, and to use his own powers to manipulate his target's blood to be exceptionally useful, especially for assassinations, or simply to cause suffering to mankind's enemies.

Equipment/Clothing: When not required to blend in for missions, David typically wears an Oilcloth Duster and an Akubra. Under those he prefers simple dark colored shirts with Death-Metal Band logos and Black Jeans. He conceals a variety of knives and other sharp melee weapons inside the Duster, along with a Fabrique Nationale P90. (He's a horrible shot, so David's response, "Just need more bullets.") On covert missions, David tries to conceal some sort of sharp object within his disguise, typically trying to exploit his ability to force small wounds to bleed profusely.

David managed to acquire a used cruiser style motorcycle, and will drive that whenever walking is not feasible.

Hey Toast! I noticed there's no description or appearance section in these bios.

Do you care about that?

I do have a character outlined already, but, since this whole crossover mess was my idea,* I feel like I really should join whichever group needs extra man power. Consequently, I'm designing a second character as we speak.

If she doesn't pan out though, my first one could probably work in either group.

* Until Toasty decides he wants to take credit for it at least.

Yeah...I noticed that not to long about myself. I will admit that I didn't do that on purpose, but I'm not too worried about it. People tend to describe their character as much or as little as they like, anyways.

And if you want, you can totally take credit for the whole crossover idea. I'd rather have a ready made scape-goat for if it doesn't work than to take the credit if it does. :p

Also, at this point, I think we have plenty of Protectors (who are supposed to be relatively few at this point), so I would STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT ANY NEW SIGN-UP SHOULD STRONGLY CONSIDER GOING BIG BAD WOLF. This isn't a requirement...but I would appreciate it.

Anyways...character creation nazi time!

Krylo: Approved, but just remember that Nick needs to follow orders every once in a while. He wouldn't of been hired if he was a complete loose cannon.

PryosNine: I'm nervous about the shadow-walking ability. It smells like teleportation, and stuff like that is always easy to abuse.

Not that I think you would, mind you, but I gots be fair, right?

And could you clarify "shoot hair" and "elongate limbs"? Hair like a blow dart? Bullet? Rocket? And how long do your limbs get: just a little bit, or full blown Protoype style whipfist?

AB: Looks good. And before anyone asks, AB had permission to use two characters...since one is the relatively helpless MoH.

Steel Shadow: Overall approved, but let it be known that I am mildly paranoid about "danger sense"...especially since it is hard to pull off unless you know what is going to happen (llike, say, the GM). Try not to overdo it too much, please.

krogothwolf: You're going for a bit much, I think. I don't mind you going down the werewolf path (after all, the CEO of Big Bad Wolf Limited is a werewolf), but being a werewolf that is skilled in swordplay and just so happened to be sniper before he got bit is...stretching it, me thinks. Also, since Mr. Grey is a werewolf, I already had a werewolf mythos/powers/abilities and stuff in mind. I'll PM you the ideas I had for werewolves, and you can adjust your character, and we can pick it up from there.

Overcast: Approved.

Bard: Nice to see we don't have to have the illusions vs. demons discussion again. We'll say that illusions are mildly effective against demons (will confuse them for a bit)...but don't worry about that too much. There will be plenty of non-demonic people for you to use illusions against this time around.

Loki: ...I don't know if I am entirely on board with this. I'm fine with the general idea...but it seems a bit overpowered in the sense of "I look at something, and it has a heart attack and dies!" or "I harden the blood in that demon so that it can't move, and then it dies because, yo, it's heart isn't pumping blood." It just seems like your character has a few too many ways to insta-kill almost anything. Like I said, I'm not against the idea on principle, and I could be reading into it wrong...but I could use some convincing that David isn't overpowered.

"Are you Duncan McCragge?" Task asks.

"Yes." Says Duncan.

"DADDY!"

You know...that would of been rather awkward.

We're talking nothing luffy scale, more ghosty, nightmare scale. Like that creepy ghost that kidnapped that kid in Ghostbusters 2. In a room, enemy thinks he's got a good distance.

But I think I might cull it in favor of the hair thing, where it becomes very sharp and poky, and grows just as much as the stretching thing, and is capable of stabbing people. it doesn't get shot, that would be ludicrous.

I'd assume the response would be:

Duncan: ...Get a haircut. *SLAM!*

When I read Pyros's bio I figured it was just a mix between Milia Rage and Zato-1/Eddie.

I might be overstepping here, but I'm a little concerned about Abdul's illusions, balance-speaking. It seems like they'll either end up as useless or over-powered, given the lack of in-system counter.

Like, how would a regular NPC deal with them?

Not really my problem since he's on my side, but, that was the first thing I thought of when I was reading it.

...I don't know if I can. I stole the concept from 3.0 Tome and Blood, and while in D&D most of those abilities would give a saving throw or just do a significant amount of damage, looking at it again it's kind of hard in an RP to say 'Your blood explodes out of all of your orifices, you take 5d6 Damage.'

Maybe demonic physiology could have aspects where sudden circulatory system failure would not be instant death, rather it would be a really strong attack against them. Maybe reducing the range of the attack can help balance it, requiring any death-type attack to have a range of 'touch'. As Davey is a caster type, and human, closing with a powerful enemy like a demon could be quite dangerous. Or even limiting the amount of blood I could control inside demons may help, since a small amount solidifying may not hinder something with the otherworldly powers demons may have.

Or perhaps even making it impossible for me to control blood within a demon, just have me able to use their blood for external applications. Their skin could shield them from my power, requiring the target to be wounded before I can control their blood.

Or maybe I have to have a sample of their blood type in my system before I can control it. This would make it difficult to effect newly discovered or rare targets, but demons I have previously fought would be very susceptible to my powers.

This still leaves Blood control very powerful against any normal mortal targets though. This may be a problem if a lot of our enemies are Human-ish.

I liked the concept and would love to play it, but given how overpowered it could be, I have no problems building a different PC. (I even came up with a new concept this morning, so I can switch out to that.)

Its probably not going to be to that overpowered, except for maybe against humans. As TB said 'mildly effective against demons'. I also covered that he can't go and turn a schoolyard in the freakin' arctic tundra. Its just a few thing at a time. He's mostly just the silly guy.

Although I may be willing to make a character in the Big Bad Wolf and just do away with Abdul. I've already some ideas in mind for a different character.
