Ah. Well, then I guess you all hold joint leadership.
Oh, and Geminex asked about something else I forgot to put in. The Sniper specialty won't be in the actual formation. Their job is to follow you from a high vantage point and take out designated targets. Their attacks will deal damage with very high critical hit modifiers that will also tear apart the Morale Integrity Value. They're also your only means of dealing with enemy Snipers directly. Certain factors will affect Snipers. Snipers lose the ability to attack when a Sandstorm and/or Hailstorm are in effect until the Engineer places a targeting beacon on the designated target. Otherwise, they won't fire for risk of hitting an ally. And no, Charlotte, you can't order the Engineer to put a targeting beacon on Pierce. ...And I won't give you the Sniper speciality, either. ...And I won't let you bribe the Sniper. Damn, I'm going to be at this all day because I know Charlotte's going to find a loophole. Last edited by Astral Harmony; 05-15-2010 at 03:47 PM. |

Of course they're gonna be functional, you nimrod!
Damn, both you and Menarker are nimrods. 2/5 down, baby! These accessories are best described as accessories you won't pick up anywhere else, like those orbs that only Dialga and Palkia can equip which boosts both of their types. |

Hey, it's not my fault I can't predict what the hell you come up with.
Anyway, can Sniper Snaggers still Snag enemy pokemon? For that matter, can Sniper Trainers catch fainted rogue pokemon? Man, I already know what Pierce's thoughts about Aster Lloyd are. "I can't believe they found someone even gayer than Renny." I'm pretty sure his faith in humanity is destroyed now. Which reminds me, there are a couple of throwaway lines I wanted to give you jerks for Pierce's sidequest: Remember how you all thought Pierce's speech was totally out of character (y'know, aside from the fact that I botched it and so it's not Pierce's fault)? Turns out he's a lot more innocent than he seems. Also, Pierce's sister Sam has always lived in Wintervale. Always. Y'know, until she's turned into a brainwashed zombie, that is. Here ya go, AB: [Held Item] Terra Hammer (Pierce's Tyranitar only): Boosts the power of Tyranitar's attacks by 5%. Tyranitar's Sandstorm does double damage to enemies and doesn't damage allies. One down, one to go.

No, Sniper Snaggers cannot catch Pokemon. There isn't going to be a Sniper Snagger. The Snaggers you do get will fall into Specialties that will actually be in the formation.
As for a Sniper Trainer, that also won't be possible. I'd give Terra Hammer a 50/100 Rage Point cost. Hell, I'll probably give Shannon's Abomasnow the same Pokemon Co-Op. One thing you should consider is that the sandstorm will subside should Tyranitar either be defeated or recalled. Keep him out on the battlefield as much as you can to maximize the number of turns that Co-Op is in play. |

Errrmm. I meant it as Tyranitar's custom item. I mean, I already came up with Hellfire for him and Blaziken.
EDIT: Can we still use Focus and Divide the way we used to without expending Rage Points? Y'know, Focus dealing x1.5 damage and whatnot?

I'm going to go on ahead and assume it's approved. If it helps, I only added the "Held item" bit after you posted. To screw with you.
So here's my other custom item: [Held Item] Lighting Gun (Pierce's Nagarai only): What can I say? It's a big fuckin' gun that shoots lightning. The gun has a three-turn charge-up period. So every three turns, Aria can use a 150 power Electric-type attack that has a 100% chance of causing Paralysis. While the gun charges, Aria can still take normal actions, although using the gun counts as her action that turn. Quote:

@AB: Actually, when people hear the word nimrod, they may think of a fool or lunkhead, but the word actually comes from a powerful figure in The Bible and Mesopotamian mythology. Nimrod was such a great hunter that his name became synonymous with hunters (The RAF even named a reconnaisance plane after him). However, when a popular Looney Tunes short featured Bugs Bunny calling Elmer Fudd a "poor little Nimrod," kids assumed that the word was an insult, and the interpretation stuck.
Anyhow, thinking of custom items too. I chose May by the way. ^^ AB, I got two ideas of Co-op Technique involving Renny. According to AB, the technique can be used even if that pokemon isn't actually summoned on the field since it's the Trainer that's originating its power with the help of the pokemon's presence. It's still tentative though. I got to consider new custom items as well for leader pokemons and all that. Serene Blessing: Description: Renny and Togekiss are so synced in their harmonic and peaceful relationship, their powerful example create a radius of happiness and good fortune. Such luck is so powerful it can cause attacks targetting them to miss or be utterly ineffective. Those who becalm themselves and thus spread the peace and harmony expand the aura and its protective power. Effect: Renny/Togekiss is under the influence of an unbreakable Protect while able to perform their normal action. Allies of Renny in the same battle can expend similar amounts of rage to apply Protect to themselves and their charges or to someone else they desire to protect while still able to perform their move for the turn. Thus someone can pay double price if they want to protect themselves and someone else who is low on rage. Useful for granting a turn of buff, healing, or alpha striking without getting hurt at all, at the cost of some rage (although that can be mitigated somewhat by the fact that you still get your action for the turn to generate it, but if you spend rage for the protection, you might not have enough to use some other abilities that use it.) Alternatively... (Or maybe I can use this following one for Lola-SyncTech... It works well enough, especially with items.) Plenty and Prosperity Description: Renny and Togekiss/Lola well-wishes for their allies comes in the form of gifts. Even a single gift can sustain the well-being of several friends! If used with an offensive item, foes will do well to fear their gift of supportive firepower. Effect: This counts as an item use action. Choose a single item. Its effect is applied to as many allies or foes on the field as desired, keeping its full effect for each and every one. Thus one Full Restore will heal the entire party entirely. Supreme Upgrade will give EVERYONE 3 stages boost to all stats (Those with Simple ability like Mollesk get 6 to all stats!). Suppressive Haze will knock off 25 rage from all foes. Since it requires said targets to be on the field, pokemons that are recalled don't get the effect. Effect may be drastically reduced for revival items. EDIT: Do custom items have to be specific for particular leader pokemon like how Pierce has it or can I make custom items that I can move around from pokemon to pokemon so long as they are leader class? I'm trying to think awful hard because this rage system and the unrevealed database is probably going to change the effectiveness of Pokemon Breeder class. Maybe describe in more details about the Pokemon Alphas which the Dark and Light used which you compared to the Pokemon Breeder? Last edited by Menarker; 05-15-2010 at 07:22 PM. |

Hmm... Menarker's post said that back at the party Rayleen went back to Renny's room after her watch. She would've had to pass through the main room to get to Renny's room, yes? Does that mean she saw Pierce and Shizuka?
Because I don't think I'd mind if there were spectators. Anyway, I don't think custom items have to be specific to pokemon, I just like mine that way. Since my leaders won't change anyway (except maybe I'll switch from Aria to Blaziken, sometime maybe, in which case I already have a custom item in mind for Blaziken).
