Ooooh, my little addition. (You gotta love these 'I'm trying to get the last word' posts)
Try to keep random posting down to a minimum, ey? I've popped in to view that each forum has the most recent post by the same user. Yes, you may type fast. Yes, you may have a lot of free time. (Yes, your name is there on every forum "Hey, lookit me!") But it's no excuse to just go crazy and reply to every topic. In fact, it's happened a few times since we've moved and it's by the same few members. You all know who you are. So, you'd do well to pay heed to this warning or expect PM's in your inbox.

Versus Threads and Online Petitions
* Please, no more versus threads. No more Black Mage vs. Fighter, no more Wolverine vs. Goku, definitely no more Cloud vs. Anything.
* Also, please stop posting links to online petitions of any kind, no matter how worthy or trivial the cause. They're a nice thought, but the fact is that they're taken slightly less seriously than dryer lint by people in positions of power. Think about it -- how much attention would you pay to a petition with no real signatures and where John F. Schwartzenheimer's e-mail address is presented right next to HottSaiyanQT4U89's? Keep on signing them if you want -- just remember that physical letters get at least a little more notice and respect, and please don't clutter our forums with links to exercises in futility.

Adding a post here because of recent arguements with users about the rules. The rules here at 8bit are there to be abided by. You are not above the rules. The more you rebel against said rules, the more likely you are to be banned.
It's a simple thing to do, and I find that a lot of recent users can't even seem to manage that. Either you accept the rules or you don't, but if you don't follow them, you'll be treated the same as everyone else, no special treatments and the possibility of warnings or worse. So have some sense and stop bloody moaning. These rules have been in effect for a long time. Don't like them? Leave.

Troll feeding rule.
From now on, do not post in troll threads at all. Avoid them altogether. If one is made, report the post, and then leave the thread alone. That way there is no confusion over what is feeding, what is helping, what is arguing, what is what.
As I said elsewhere, if it is ambiguous enough that someone doesn't exactly know that it's trolling, I will take that into account before the one month ban takes effect. I'm not about to go crazy with banning people if they make honest mistakes. However people who just make the situation worse, yeah. Gone. So. Avoid troll threads. Just do. Quote:

Arguing with the mods.
It is highly recommended you do not argue with the mods. It is even more highly recommended you do not insult them.
Let it be known that it states specifically in the rules that arguing with the mods is not accepted. Do not let this happen. You will be subsequently warned and banned if it continues. This is not a dictatorship. If you have a legitimate complaint, it is accepted. However complaints are dismissed out of hand if they are presented in an unruly or combative fashion. Insulting someone you have a complaint about will not get you heard. It will get you removed. Also, if you get warned extremely harshly in a thread for acting like a huge jackass, it would be in your very best interests to not thereafter report the mod/admin's post and give them negative rep. One of our esteemed members has done this. It did not end well for him. The report post and reputation buttons aren't toys to be used when you're upset that you got disciplined. It happens for a reason, not just to flame you. Thusly if the report post button is abused it will result in a ban without warning. If bad rep is added onto that consider yourself in a big mess of shit.
