Druids can't be Evil.
The also can't be Good, Lawful, or Chaotic. Soooooo, yeah. Hmmm. I'll go with a Paladin (there's only one race and alignment choice here), because I can't remember the last time I saw an LP like this where the PC wasn't a tremendous cockmonger.stabilized! Dammit Bookworm you're not supposed to tell them now. Only when it's the majority opinion the character be a druid and it's too late to change.
And technically there are evil druids. It's just, yeah, we can't gen an evil druid to be the main character.

Would you even classify the Tick as LG?

The only thing I ask you do it to insult the giant fat spider lady for being so fat. Anything else is good. You know if you wanted to, you could make your own NPC's who could join the main party at later stages of the game if you want to introduce new characters. Heck, make your own portraits and the like too!

I'd suggest double checking what combos are and aren't possible and letting us know. Wouldn't want any more confusion if we need to re-pick.

I thought the only limitation on druids is that they had to be Neutral-something or something-Neutral?

You want info? You're gonna GET info!
For the record, in case it wasn't obvious, I love this game more than I hate you all.
Okay so first let's go by race! Human -Can be everything but a multi-class character. At least, at the start. Elf Can be: -Fighter -Cleric -Mage. Can specialize in being a Diviner or an Enchanter. -Thief. -Multi-class character of a Fighter/Thief, Fighter/Mage, Mage/Thief, or if you really want to go for overkill, a Fighter/Mage/Thief. Half-Elf -Can be anything but a Paladin. -Mage specialties are Conjurer, Diviner, Enchanter, and Transmuter. -Multi-class characters are: -Fighter/Thief -Fighter/Cleric -Mage/Thief -Cleric/Mage -Fighter/Druid -Cleric/Ranger -Fighter/Mage/Thief -Fighter/Mage/Cleric Gnomes Can be: -Fighter -Cleric -Thief -A Mage, but only if they're Illusionists. -Fighter/Thief -Fighter/Cleric -Fighter/Illusionist -Cleric/Thief -Cleric/Illusionist -Illusionist/Thief Halfling Can be: -Fighter -Cleric -Thief -Fighter/Thief Dwarves Can be: -Fighter -Cleric -Thief -Fighter/Cleric -Fighter/Thief Now as for the classes themselves. Each one comes with some alignment restrictions. Or not. Fighters - Can be whatever they damn well please. Rangers - Can only be LG, NG, or CG. Paladins - Only LG. *Sigh* Clerics - Whatever they want to be. Druids - Only ever TN. Mages - Whatever they want to be, including all their various subsets. Thieves - Can never be LG. Bards - Can be NG, LN, TN, CN, and CE. Now what happens when you mix and match classes? Well, the alignment restrictions from EVERY class apply. So don't be surprised when I tell you what's next... Fighter/Thief - Can't be Lawful. Ever. Fighter/Mage - Can be whatever you want it to be. Mage/Thief - Can't be Lawful. Fighter/Mage/Thief - Still can't be Lawful. Fighter/Cleric - Can be any alignment. Cleric/Mage -Can be any alignment. Fighter/Druid - TN. Yeah you saw that coming. Cleric/Ranger - LG, NG, or CG. Fighter/Mage/Cleric - Anything. Fighter/Illusionist - Anything. Cleric/Illusionist - Anything. Illusionist/Thief - Can't be Lawful. Now if I know you lot you're going 'Wait mage subsets? Illusionists? The hell?' Or maybe not. Still, they're important things to know. Probably. The interface gives jack-all info about them during the selection screen, so guess what's going here? Abjurer - Specializes in protective magics. Conjurer - Specializes in creating things to protect himself. Diviner - Specializes in detection magic. Enchanter - Specializes in manipulating the minds of his opponents. Illusionist - Specializes in confusing foes through use of a carnival hall of mirrors. Invoker - Specializes in manipulating energy by stealing your cable. Necromancer - Specializes in death magic, wearing black, and writing shitty poems/books. Transmuter - Specializes in altering the very fabric of reality and feelings of omnipotence. Each specialty class cannot learn one class of magic during the course of their adventure. Which one hates which escapes me at the moment. Though if you lot somehow pick the one that hates the spell Identify Item, I will hunt you all down in the dead of night.

So we could be a Gnome Lawful Evil Fighter/Illusionist?
Because that sounds awfully ideal to me. Imagine a tiny opponent who'd kick your ass in a fistfight, then deceive you into thinking there are twenty of him (or deceive you into thinking a hot chick is nearby.) All in the process of building the next new Babylonian style slave-operated Empire. (Is it possible to enslave our enemies in this game? Because I want this guy to enslave everyone. Better yet, can gnomes be female?)

I have a Fighter/Mage/Thief in my Icewind Dale playthrough. He is the deadliest character in my party. Seriously, his strength managed to be 18/91 or so.

Human paladin. For Bookie's reasons, RPG LPs are almost always neutral or evil mages and thief types, a goody goody paladin would be different. Plus in 2 Inquisitors are just fun. Plus playing as human/elf/half elf gives you the ability to do the romance sidequests in 2 and more sidequests is always good for an LP.
Oh BTW how you running this LP? Just OOC commentary and let the game do the dialogue, or you going to add the character's internal monologue or you actually gonna make some dialogue of your own? Actually I know how to make you hate this. Everyone vote for him to play a girl so we can vote for him to romance Anomen when we get to Baldur's Gate 2.
