I'm soo pumped for this game. Amazon should be shipping it to my doorstep for tomorrow morning so long as they aren't dirty whores. Although even then my desktop got fried in a power surge last week and has yet to be replaced, so I'm gonna be stuck playing this on my laptop that could barely run the beta on the lowest settings. Like it worked and everything but whenever anything happened on screen other than units idling the game slowed down considerably. Curse you lightning!!!

Even on the lowest settings? It's a pretty forgiving game, I thought, it plays smooth (or the beta did) on my old PC.
And multiplayer is important! NPF tournament! |

I was in the exact same boat when WoW first launched.
Get one of these "guest passes" and try it out. Most likely you'll suffer nothing more than a warning when you install and frame rate drops in high food battles.

You get two guest passes with the retail box. I can spare one, message me later on tonight if you're around and I'll find the code.
Note: Not sure what the restrictions on the guest pass are, mind you. Does anyone even know what it lets you DO? Demo the campaign? Demo the multiplayer? With or without friends only? No clue. |

I decided not to get it on launch day because waiting a week and getting it for fifteen dollars less is an awesome idea.

Funny story (not really), Logicbuy.com was preordering for 44.99! I had already taken my box home and opened it by then, but ah well, I only pay a little over fifty myself.

My laptop was pretty cheap, and while it has a great processor the video card is severely lacking, which causes some slowdown whenever anything graphically intense happens. The game was completely playable, but it was a huge step down from running it with near max settings on my desktop PC.

I decided while reading this thread to wait until I can get the whole package for no more than 30 bucks. So, maybe three years?

7 hours is pretty stingy especially if you have to install the whole thing
Everyone who buys a box gets two 7 hour passes and two WoW free trials.
