Link: http://www.industrygamers.com/news/p...elopers-hands/ Basically, if this stuff is true, it means that they already essentially have the system together. I can think of a couple reasons they haven't released anything official. One, they want to push the Move first and get that in homes, where a PSP2 is a pretty sure sell. Two, because they're still trying to get people to buy the PSP in the meantime, which is finally getting a slew of good games in. Square tax, meet Sony. Otherwise, people will hold off until the PSP2 comes out, which means quite possibly the better part of a year with no handheld sales.

So...
Don't get a PSP because in a year it's going to be replaced anyways? Everyone seems to be saying that the PSP-3000 is the way to go, but god-damn if I don't still really want a PSP-Go. I am the death of consoles by the way. I bought a DS and three months later the 3DS was announced. I chose to get a PS1 over an N64, leading to the PS2 announcement. Then I got an N64, and the gamecube came out, so I got a gamecube, and the gamecube flopped. Honestly, I may have killed the Dreamcast.

Take that into consideration then when buying your PSP. You'll get it and they'll announce the PSP2.

Wait, if you kill consoles, get the PSP GO. Its the only right thing to do.
Okay, in seriousness, I have the priviledge of playing on both the psp 1000, 2000, 3000, and GO. Now, the game I play (MHFU) Is out for everything, but the button placement for the Go takes a lot more getting used to than any of the *000 models. You will get used to it, just be prepared for a little bit more cramped hands. (I have tiny hands too, and it makes my hands feel a little cramped.) |

Here's my input: The PSP 3000 is thin, and I find it hard to grasp and hit the right buttons sometimes becuase everything seems so close togethor. I have pretty small hands for a dude. The PSP GO? Even smaller. Also it is gimicky. Get the 3000.
Or even better, get a modded 1000 series.

I've fiddled with the Go and the 3000 and I haven't had any ergonomic issues that I didn't have before. At least, I don't think I do, I currently have one hand in a cast, so that complicates the process a little bit.

PSP 3000, imo. Don't bother with a Go, Sony seem to be leaving that to die now. If you're thinking about the whole modding scene, it's not really worth worrying about now, unless you must have every single PSP game you own on the memory stick. There's enough decent stuff on the PSP that you could buy one without modding it and be fine.
